Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan Holds Demonstration in Nyala Rejecting CEDAW
(Translated)

Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan held a demonstration after Thuhr prayer on Tuesday 19/11/2019 refusing the government’s pursuit to sign the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). The demonstration set off from the Al-Kabeer mosque at Nyala city - the capital of the south of Darfur state and circumbulated around the Souq al-Kabeer at Nyla’s where the chanting of the demonstration was “There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah ... the Khilafah (Caliphate) is the promise of Allah” and “ No democracy no secularism ... but rather Islamic Khilafah (Caliphate)”. The demonstration was preceded by a speech in the mosque from which the demonstration started from, which was presented by Ustath / Mohammed Jami (Abu Aiman), Assistant to the Official Spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah of Sudan who clarified through his speech the position of the woman in Islam and how she is protected by the laws of the Lord of the worlds in a time that CEDAW made her a cheap commodity in a hopeless attempt to equate her with a man...

The crowd interacted with the demonstration by the chants and doing the takbeerat (saying Allah Akbar) and Tahlilat (saying La ilaha illa Allah) and the Nyala radio station broadcasted the news of the demonstration at 7 pm on Tuesday 19/11/2019 then again on Wednesday morning at 6:30.
