Press Release
Advocacy for the Rights of our People in Bin Qirdan
(Translated)

The protests witnessed by the proud and dignified region of Bin Qirdan clearly indicate the extent of the injustice imposed on the people upon their livelihood and their dignity. The presence of this region alongside Libya is supposed to be a source for tremendous goodness, however the colonial borders make areas adjacent to these borders constrained in dark corners which they unjustly and disdain called them the "shadow areas".

They are treated in renunciation and are viewed at the best from the angle of annexation and compensation, rather than from the viewpoint of taking care of the affairs and maintaining interests.

These protests are demanding the right to a decent living that the successive governments failed to provide them for decades and were all authoritative and alien to the people. For this reason this movement is a blessed effort.

At the same time, we warn our sons and our people in Bin Qirdan not to be progressively led, from where they do not sense toward the disliked physical or chaotic acts in order to overcome this wonderful revolutionary energy and deviate it. Rather the rules of Islam must be enforced in economy and its mechanism of distributing the wealth and satisfying the needs of the people, so that the matter becomes rational, rightful and just.

The Prophet (saw) said:

«إِنَّهُ لَا قُدِّسَتْ أُمَّةٌ لَا يَأْخُذُ الضَّعِيفُ فِيهَا حَقَّهُ غَيْرَ مُتَعْتَعٍ»

"May a nation not be sanctified (cleansed of sin) among whom the weak in it cannot get their rights without being hindered". Narrated by Ibn Majah.
