«مَنِ الْتَمَسَ رِضَا اللَّهِ بِسَخَطِ النَّاسِ رَضِيَ الله عَنْهُ وَأَرْضَى النَّاسَ عَنْهُ»

“Whoever seeks Allah’s pleasure by the people's wrath Allah will be pleased with him and will make people be pleased with him”
(Translated)

Thanks to what Allah bestowed upon them from His guidance; they became leaders, they became pioneers with Islam who enlightened the paths of people in all parts of the world by following the Shariah of Allah and the Sunnah of their Prophet Muhammad (saw). This is how the Muslims became when they adhered to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet and lived under a state that governed by what came in them and did not deviate, so the enemies feared them and calculated every account with them.

But when the Khilafah (Caliphate) State, the impregnable fortress for the implementation of the rulings of Islam, was brought down, a dangerous epidemic spread in the body of the Ummah; an epidemic that the enemies of Islam worked to spread and cultivate with extreme malice and cunning, spreading it after they failed to harm the Ummah militarily, as they were defeated one after the other. It is the plague of their corrupt and corrupting concepts through which they seek to undermine Islam and its people.

It is a war whose weapons are Western concepts that work to undermine Islamic civilization as an enemy that must be eliminated before it is destroyed. It is a battle of survival or annihilation.

It is unfortunate that the situation of Muslims has become what they are today in terms of wandering and loss, and a prey for beasts and hyenas, after they were leaders of the world thanks to their Deen that raised them and raised the world through them and brought them out from the darkness of ignorance to the light, justice and security of Islam; instead, Muslims began to follow their enemies and live by their concepts, so they abandoned the concepts of their religion and entered the hole of the lizard!

Their loyalty was to Allah alone, and they did not associate anything with Him. They did not care about the world and what is in it; they sold it and bought the Hereafter; they did not fear for Allah’s sake the blame of a blamer, and they were hostile to those who were hostile to Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers, sons, or brothers. They disown everyone who fights Allah’s Deen, so they are not loyal to it or love it; they led battles to raise the word of Allah in which they fought their people who were on disbelief and considered them enemies. However, the purity of concepts has become muddy and became dirty and they became mixed with strange concepts that make Muslims question the authenticity and distinction of their religion. Concepts on the surface of which are justice, security, and beauty permeated the atmosphere, but within which were poisoned arrows.

"Tolerance", "coexistence" and "humanity" are titles that rise above all considerations. There is no nationality, color or even religion, so that Islam becomes a religion like the rest, and it is not the truth and the other is false. These deceptive headlines became widespread, so the Muslim began to seek to please those around him, even if that entailed an infringement of the rulings of his religion. He seeks not to deviate from the group whose minds have been captured and imposed on by the concepts of Western civilization. He turned from striving to please his Lord, no matter what it cost him, to striving to please people, ignoring the words of the Messenger (saw):

«مَنِ الْتَمَسَ رِضَا اللَّهِ بِسَخَطِ النَّاسِ، رَضِيَ الله عَنْهُ، وَأَرْضَى النَّاسَ عَنْهُ، وَمَنِ الْتَمَسَ رِضَا النَّاسِ بِسَخَطِ اللَّهِ، سَخَطَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ، وَأَسْخَطَ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسَ»

“Whoever seeks the pleasure of Allah by displeasing the people, Allah will be pleased with him, and Allah will make the people be pleased with him. And whoever seeks people's satisfaction by Allah’s wrath, Allah will be angry with him, and Allah will make the people be angry with him.” [Narrated by Ibn Habban].

How can a Muslim break his covenant with his Lord, which He said in His Noble Book:

“And ˹remember˺ when your Lord brought forth from the loins of the children of Adam their descendants and had them testify regarding themselves. ˹Allah asked,˺ “Am I not your Lord?” They replied, “Yes, You are! We testify.” ˹He cautioned,˺ “Now you have no right to say on Judgment Day, ‘We were not aware of this.’” [TMQ Al-A‘raf:172].

How can he abandon his worship of Allah alone and turn away from it, so that the world and its temptations preoccupy him?! How can he associate partners with Allah so that he seeks people’s satisfaction, even if the wrath of his Lord is in it?!

Allah took the covenant from His servants that He is their Lord alone, He has no partner. What is the meaning of "there is no god but Allah"? Doesn't it mean that Allah is our Creator and we only worship Him and obey no one else, whatever the costs of that? Doesn't it mean that we abandon the whims of the soul and the temptations of life, if that involves obedience to Allah and pleasing Him? Doesn't it mean that we don't look for happiness in a matter that angers Allah? Therefore, we must not walk in this worldly life except according to what He enacted and legislated for us, so that our worship is sincere to Him, and we are truthful and sincere to Him, so we please Him. It was necessary for us to be truthful with Allah in all that He commanded and prohibited, so that our sincerity would not be limited to establishing prayer, fasting Ramadan, and pilgrimage to the House. And then we abandon it in our dealings, so we permit usury and keep silent about the widespread sins of nakedness, adultery and immorality. And we justify our silence on the evil by saying that this falls within the door of personal freedoms, and that every person will be questioned before Allah for what his hands have committed, and that Allah alone will hold him accountable. It is a culture that seeks to spread corruption and remain silent about it. These are corrupt concepts that want to eliminate the most prominent characteristic of the Ummah of Islam after belief in Allah, which is enjoining the good and forbidding the evil

“You are the best community ever raised for humanity—you encourage good, forbid evil, and believe in Allah.” [TMQ Aali-’Imran: 110].

And is there a greater evil than that Allah’s Shariah is excluded from our lives and we are governed by these man-made laws and this Western civilization that ruled the world and imposed its rule on Muslims and abolished their Khilafah (Caliphate) that used to implement the rulings of their Lord on them?!

Our Deen has urged us not to live except by Islam, because it alone is the guarantor to revive people in prosperity, for it is the mercy that He sent to His servants.

“Can those who had been dead, to whom We gave life and a light with which they can walk among people, be compared to those in complete darkness from which they can never emerge?1 That is how the misdeeds of the disbelievers have been made appealing to them.” [TMQ Al-An‘am:122].

Whoever wants honour and glory should search for them only in Islam, and whoever wants to be truthful with his Creator and supporter of His Deen should not be moved by the storms of this rotten Western civilization and should not be affected by its flimsy victories and think that it has been conquered, for the battle is still on. Whoever wants to survive and win the pleasure of His Lord and His Paradise, then he must not be discouraged by obstacles, events, or negligent people, but rather he must work hard and sincerely with the sincere workers who only want to raise the banner of their religion and obtain the pleasure of their Lord.

“We certainly help Our messengers and the believers, ˹both˺ in this worldly life and on the Day the witnesses will stand forth ˹for testimony˺” [TMQ Ghafir:51]
