The ICC: The American Puppet Theater for Justice
On the 20th of May, the ICC released a statement in which Prosecutor Karim A.A. Khan announced having “applied for arrest warrants in the situation in the state of Palestine”. These arrest warrants are issued for Benjamin NETANYAHU and Yoav GALLANT for the various war crimes committed against the Palestinian people. This was a cause of celebration throughout the entire Muslim Ummah, who believed this to be the key to stop the massacre of their Muslim brothers and sisters. However, this belief is incorrect as proven by the actions of the Western powers, most notably the US.
Following the release of the statement by the ICC, various Western political leaders have released statement to condemn these actions, describing the warrants issued against two Zionist figures as “ridiculous”, “unacceptable”, and “a deep distortion of Justice”. American President Joe Biden stated: “Let me be clear: Whatever this prosecutor might imply, there is no equivalence — none — between Israel and Hamas”.
Furthermore, the Zionist leader stated, “I reject with disgust the comparison of the prosecutor in The Hague between democratic Israel and the mass murderers of Hamas”.
This was followed by the refusal of the Zionist leader to accept the various ceasefires proposed by the UN, and the US.
The statements prove two important things: 1. The Zionist entity will not stop when faced when with international authorities. And 2. The US will always stand next to this colonial entity regardless of the ruling of international organizations. This puts into question the power that such court.
Further research into the history of the ICC shows that there have been multiple instances were rulings were not accepted by states such as Lybia, Sudan, the Ivory Coast and the Democratic Republic of the Congo amongst other countries. Furthermore, research into the cases brought before the ICC shows that no European or North American has ever been successfully prosecuted. Even when investigations or preliminary examinations were launched, these did not lead to further prosecution.
The lack of power that the ICC holds over states such as the US can be proven by the various sanctions that the US government has passed against the ICC that include: asset freezing, travels bans, and allows for the use of force against The Hague to release US personnel from ICC custody.
It is worth mentioning is the refusal of the US to allow the ICC to rule over their affairs with government officials stating that “the American Judication system is capable of ruling over its own affairs”. However, while the US firmly refuses to allow the ICC to rule against them or those it favors, it has time and time against supported the court in cases against countries such as Lybia, Sudan, and the Central African Republic. These cases concluded with the death or capture of individuals as well as changes related to security and enforcement.
Finally, in order to prove the power the US holds over the ICC, and the latter’s lack of power, we can look at the ICC action of 2017 in Afghanistan. An ICC prosecutor sought to investigate alleged crimes against humanity committed in Afghanistan, including actions taken by the US military personnel. This was met with strong opposition by the US as well as sanctions against ICC officials, including the prosecutor who had sought to investigate the crimes.
It is clear the US detains power above those of the International Criminal Court, allowing it to not only be exempt from its ruling, but also protect and attack those it sees fit. The Zionist state, despite the clear genocide it is inflicting on the Palestinian people, has been allowed to continue its sadistic massacre. This all while the US veto’s decisions, supplies weapons of mass destruction, and gives their genocidal leader a platform to paint himself and his colonial regime as the victim.
The international organizations, which have been praised for bringing justice, have proven once again that they are controlled by colonial powers with clear agendas. These agendas include the destruction of the Ummah and its land to benefit from its riches. The time has come to demand fair treatment and justice for our Muslim brothers and sisters, and this by creating an Islamic state. A state which will not allow injustice and massacres to go unpunished in order to gain more money. A state that cannot be bought for material objects, and will denounce the corruption worldwide.
