Human rights abuses and violence against legitimate protest
is still ignored by Pakistan and global powers

The Indian State has unleashed new levels of oppression against the Muslims of Kashmir. After the martyrdom of Burhan Wani on Friday 8 July 2016, protests erupted in Occupied Kashmir, in which more than eighty Kashmiri Muslims have been martyred and 13,000 injured, many with pellet guns targeted at the eyes, with the deliberate intention to blind them.
Comment:
Since the killing of the young political activist Burhan Wani in July 2016, scores of Muslim Kashmiris have been targeted and willfully shot dead or blinded by Indian security forces. Tens of thousands attended Wani’s funeral but the continuing protests were met with police brutality and is unstinting in its attempts to halt any uprising, which will challenge the decades’ long Indian oppression.
The state sponsored terrorism of India has since led to the illegal occupation of Pakistani Kashmir; making it akin to the aggressive “Israeli” paradigm, through its rampant use of excessive force and illegal munitions along with its huge military presence. There is one Indian soldier for every ten Kashmiris.
The draconian Indian siege of the last three months has stopped people from reaching hospitals and left scores of young protestors blinded by the use of pellet guns. Operations to remove the tiny steel fragments from the retina are proving unsuccessful. A Kashmiri doctor said, “No country has willfully blinded scores of youth as India has”. Such is the ferocity of the Indian response since July that 2000 people have suffered serious or moderate injuries in the duration of just two days.
As usual we hear no outcry from those who arrogantly champion human rights around the world; nor is there condemnation of the world’s largest democracy that is hailed as India. The silence of the leaders of the Muslims is once again deafening.
Amid the dirty politics, the Ummah is being distanced from the true message of Islam by being called to accept western institutions like the UN, whose secular solutions not only pay lip service to the idea of justice, sovereign states, or human rights; but further ideals like nationalism and allegiance to ones western identity. All with the intention of reforming Islam, secularising Muslim activists and severing our link to the global Ummah. ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا عَدُوِّي وَعَدُوَّكُمْ أَوْلِيَاء تُلْقُونَ إِلَيْهِم بِالْمَوَدَّةِ وَقَدْ كَفَرُوا بِمَا جَاءكُم مِّنَ الْحَقِّ﴾ “O you who believe! Choose not My enemies who are your enemies as friends showing them affection even when they disbelieve in that truth that has come to you” [Surah Mumtahina: 1].
The Pakistani government can easily support the sincere Kashmiris with a well-trained and equipped Pakistani army whose desire is to defend their brothers and sisters. Being the 7th largest army in the world, this is not a difficult pursuit. As usual though, upholding the power play of their colonial masters is more sacred than allowing victory for the Muslims and responding to their cries.
He (swt) said: ﴿وَمَا لَكُمْ لاَ تُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاء وَالْوِلْدَانِ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَـذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا﴾“And what is wrong with you that you fight not in the Cause of Allah, and for those weak and oppressed among men, women, and children, whose cry is: Our Lord! Rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors” [Al-Nisaa: 75].
So we call upon the Pakistan government to mobilise the army and immediately send support and victory to the blessed Ummah of our beloved Rasool Allah (saw). Regardless of their heedlessness however, the Khilafah "Caliphate" Rashidah (on the way of the Prophethood), will liberate Kashmir and put an end to Indian aggression.
Our beloved Rasool Allah (saw) said ,«عِصَابَتَانِ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَحْرَزَهُمَا اللَّهُ مِنْ النَّارِ عِصَابَةٌ تَغْزُو الْهِنْدَ وَعِصَابَةٌ تَكُونُ مَعَ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَام»“Two groups of my Ummah Allah has protected from the Hellfire: a group that will conquer India and a group that will be with ‘Isa ibnu Maryam.” (Ahmad, An-Nisa’i)
