The Lasting Solution is the Overhaul Change in the Capitalist System
News
Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi has reiterated that the era of cheating and the mess in the exam council has come to an end. Unlike the previous 30 years, when cheating became rampant in the Form Four and Standard Eight examinations it was reported that this only 21 cases of malpractices were recorded. “The administration of the examinations has been smooth,” said Matiang’i on Wednesday when he toured schools in Machakos County to oversee the conduct of physics, the last paper to be sat this year. “We had credible exams. Matiangi further was quoted saying, “From now on, you can’t buy good grades”.

Like any other minister within secular regimes, Matiangi is trying to deal with a symptom of a chronic disease which is deeply rooted in all sectors in the entire secular world i.e. Capitalism. Although many have congratulated Matiangi for his ‘efforts’ to curb the Exam leakage menace the fact remains still there is a long standing issue on education that has Matiangi will never address. Capitalist education is nothing other than a commercial commodity just like any other commodity, thus creating a room for forgery of fake certificates and exam leakage.
Remember when Michuki was made the transport minister? The public service vehicles were rotten and took him less than two months to turn it into some spiritual institution with all the drivers and touts in uniform and all the passengers in seat belts and no one dares to do without them. When he was moved to a different ministry, all went back to its old ways.
The loose ends in capitalist system have created ways for people with money and power to influence everyone who is in their way for their end gains. This has made the current president of Kenya admitting that fighting corruption is impossible. and worst admitting that it’s in the place where he sleeps the “STATE HOUSE”. This is not just in Kenya but South Africa, where Jacob Zuma almost faced an impeachment over allegations of corruption in his office, Uganda where Museveni has turned the cabinet and top positions to a family owned family.
It is wrong to think that the solution is having the likes of Matiang’i or Michuki in the government. Dr Pombe Magufuli took the Tanzanian government by storm and turned it upside down but unfortunately Tanzania today is far worse economically compared to the other days. The rich are getting richer and the poor not knowing where their next meal is going to come from despite an almost entire change in the administration of government institutions.
The lasting solution is the overhaul change in the capitalist system so as to close the loop holes of policies that can be easily altered by powerful and corrupt people whose sole aim is to materially benefit at any cost.
