Iraq, 15 years later...

News

Fifteen years ago this month, the United States spearheaded an extremely bloody war on Iraq as part of its ongoing effort to ensure its colonial greets.

15 years have passed since the brutal invasion of Iraq by the America led coalition. Back then the horrific images of innocent men, women and children, being butchered and humiliated were seen instantly on our screens home, all across the world due to embedded journalism and the rise of internet. For the first time we could witness almost directly the onslaught that took place. This caused the Muslims to move even more; we as a Ummah cried, prayed for them, collected charities and after millions of innocent people died and the fighting was settled we said, this no more.

The same we did and said when the Bosnian Muslims were butchered in the middle of Europe, and when our Kashmiri Muslims were attacked by mushrik India, and when our Caucasian Muslims were attacked by the brutal Russian regime.

We as an Ummah cried, prayed for them, collected charities and after thousands of innocent people died and the fighting was settled we said, this no more.

Also, we have, till this day on, an ongoing onslaught against our Ummah, in Palestine Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, CAR, Mali, Yemen, Myanmar and other places were the Muslims are oppressed and prosecuted.

We as an Ummah cry, pray for them, collected charities and wait for thousands of innocent people to die and give up their fight, and afterwards we will say, this no more.

It seems that this great Ummah is trapped in a cycle of defeatism and can’t produce a tangible solution that protects the honour and the sacred blood of this noble Ummah.

That’s why we should take the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Iraq invasion and any other occasion of oppression against Muslims as a mirror to reflect upon and evaluate our work, our goals and solutions.

We should definitely remember the oppression against our Muslim brothers and sisters on a human and emotional level but moreover, we should take lessons from our failure on intellectual and political level.

The first and foremost important lessons for the Muslims is that the only thing what once made them glorious and successful was Islam. Islam was their only source for their thinking and behaviour, their only reference, their only criteria, their only goal and solution. Whereby detachment or deviation from this only resulted in humiliation and disgrace. So as long as we search our solutions and define our goals within the framework of the colonial mind-set we will never be victorious.

Also, we should take lessons that friendship and alliance with dominating Western powers have lead us to our downfall. So with the eyes on the future we should actively and openly oppose and challenge the leaders in the Muslim world who have friendly relationship and alliance with these powers. So as long as leaders in the Muslim world are praised, instead of disgraced, for their friendship and cooperation with the kafir West who are the core enemies of Islam we will never be able to change our situation.

The only solution to safeguard and protect the honour, sanctity of Muslim blood is by uniting the Ummah under one single political entity (Al Khilafah) who will implement Islam and the Muslims will be once again glorious and successful.

This is the message to all the Muslims at all times also when we remember the anniversaries of oppression against our brothers and sister. There is no other solution then this and in order to achieve this political solution we need to work with the political party Hizb ut Tahrir whose aim is to establish exactly this on the method of Prophethood.
