The Capitalist Guise of Granting Women the Right to Drive in Saudi Arabia

News:

The social reforms unleashed by Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman are bringing changes to many aspects of life in the conservative kingdom, but none stand to benefit more than women, whose treatment has set Saudi Arabia apart from the rest of the world for decades.

Glimpses of hair are starting to appear beneath headscarves, the lines segregating men from women are beginning to blur, and the government is slowly retreating from its once vigorous intrusion into women’s lives. On June 24, they will be allowed to drive, the most symbolic and practically important of the changes so far. (Source: washingtonpost)

Comment:

The so-called ‘2030 Vision’ of Saudi Arabia, led by the American puppet Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, will directly impact upon Muslim women and her position in society at the expense of protecting the Saudi regime and America’s economic and national interests in the country. The Royal Decree on traffic granting Muslim women the right to drive is directly linked to her economic role in society. The impact of the Capitalist economic system will affect women in Saudi Arabia by pushing them out from their homes and into the work place via the Saudization process, a quota system of national employees in the private economic sector.

Muslim women are no longer expected to uphold their primary roles as a wife and mother derived from Islamic tradition and laws but, instead, younger generations are being socially engineered to adopt a career orientated vision towards working in various fields, especially the retail industry that is open to 100% foreign ownership. Consequently, young women will increase their participation in the labor market by up to 30 per cent. Data published by the Ministry of Labor reflects this dramatic trajectory in the number of women working in the private sector from a low base of just over 50,000 in 2010 to about 400,000 in 2014 and 600,000 in 2017.

The previous Deputy Minister for Labor, Abdul Wahid Al Humaid, said, “The unemployment problem is basically among women... (and) it is mainly due to social customs...The Labor Ministry alone will not be able to solve the unemployment problem... It requires joint efforts of families, schools, individuals and social institutions”. Symbolising this social engineering campaign of Muslim women into the labor market, the current Deputy Labor Minister, Tamadur bint Youssef al-Ramah, is the first Muslim woman to be given a top government position.

The ineptitude of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its corrupt rulers, be they British or American puppets, their lavish lifestyles and oil dependency have bankrupt the country and the Ummah of its wealth. Consequently, women are now pressured to enter employment under the guise of “women’s liberation and progress” equating her worth to her level of wealth creation, burdening her with being both the breadwinner and home-maker of the family, waging a war on motherhood, and robbing women of their time with their children - causing them to compromise their vital duty as nurturers and educators of the future generation. Capitalism has therefore placed a price tag on women, made them slaves to the economy, and treated them like objects to generate wealth.

The Muslim women of Saudi Arabia will therefore continue to suffer under the blind vision of Saudi regime led by MBS and America’s economic imperial colonisation of the country. The true vision and solution for the Muslim women of Saudi Arabia is one that our beloved Prophet Mohammad (saw) provided and one which we must implement, the restoration and re-establishment of the Khilafah Rashida State (rightly guided Caliphate) upon the path of Prophethood.

“Then is one who laid the foundation of his building on righteousness [with fear] from Allah and [seeking] His approval better or one who laid the foundation of his building on the edge of a bank about to collapse, so it collapsed with him into the fire of Hell? And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.” [9:109]
