Possession and Carrying of Personnel Weapons Creates Security in the Society

Nine people, many of them are Kurdish in origin, were killed in Hanau, near Frankfurt, Germany during the two shootings. Reuters reported from German official as saying, “The Hanau attack in the Western world was motivated by hatred” (Arab 48)

Comment:

Muslims from all over the world have become easy prey for all those who are spiteful against the best nation brought forth amongst humankind. And this spitefulness emerged from the media mobilization (of armies) which are supported, directed and organized by the world regimes headed by the leaders of new crusade wars against Muslims from amongst the major powers of the world. The cause of this media mobilization (of armies) is the fear of Western regimes that will lead to awareness of Muslims about their religion and their endeavor to find it in their life struggle under the political entity that will rule by Quran and Sunnah, reflecting the true civilized Islamic system, which all the world nations call for the replacement of noble Islam with the Western secular civilization. In order to overcome this not to occur, policy makers in the West have resorted to create manic and hatred feelings against Islam and Muslims, which is called Islam phobia.

As a result of this mobilization, incidents of targeting the Muslims are widespread in the West. The New Zealand massacre which took place last year that claimed the lives of more than fifty worshipers of Allah in two mosques at the hands of a "maniac" are amongst the victims of the "Islamophobia" campaign. Usually, the criminal conducts his crime against Muslims without having any significant resistance, due to Muslims being deprived of any kind of private weapons to protect themselves. If it were not the Muslims, either men or women in the mosques or those who walk in the streets or in their business places, who carried weapons for their self-defense, these ‘maniacs’ would not have assaulted them, let alone the massacres which they have committed like New Zealand massacre.

Obtaining and carrying the personnel weapons is legally allowed in the West. For instance, the individual weapons possessed by civilians in the United States are estimated to be 35 to 50 percent of what the world's population have. And in Germany and Canada, the percentage of those who have weapons exceeds thirty percent. The issue of obtaining and carrying weapons in these nations does not need much more than taking permissions from the local authorities and it is easy in many of those nations and it is not censured as long as it is for self-defense.

The responsibility of protecting the people in the West remains in the shoulders of the governments. However, for these governments being negligent in fulfilling their obligations and for their engagement either directly or indirectly of supporting these maniacs, it is obligatory upon the Muslims to protect their souls, wealth and honor themselves. It is obligatory according to Sharia, particularly when the feelings of hatred are growing in the West. It is expected that such assaults will increase. Surprisingly, some of the Islamic centers in the West employ them for the private security teams to protect their centers whilst they are capable of calling the community to take arms for their self-defense. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said:

«مَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ وَمَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ أَهْلِهِ أَوْ دُونَ دَمِهِ أَوْ دُونَ دِينِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ»

“Whoever is killed protecting his wealth, he is a martyr. Whoever is killed protecting his family, he is a martyr. Whoever is killed protecting his religion, he is a martyr. Whoever is killed protecting himself, he is a martyr.” (Sunan Abu Dawood)

Finally, it is not correct that the prevalence of arms amongst the people will lead to a rise of crime rate and security disorder. Rather the opposite is correct, when each individual is capable of protecting themselves from the criminals who will not miss the means to obtain the arms even if carrying of weapons is prohibited, these criminals will not proceed to assault others. The claim that the prevalence of arms will lead to security disorder is only the claim of oppressive regime to monopolize weapons for them so that they will be able to crush the people without any mobilization or resistance from the oppressed common people.
