Allah (swt) Commands Us to Unite: Who’s Behind the Splitting of Muslims in Bangladesh?
News:
A political storm brews in election-bound Bangladesh as the country is set to hold its next general election in January 2024. Dethroned party BNP’s activisms are aimed at pressuring incumbent Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to hand over power to an interim government to conduct the upcoming election. In contrast, ruling party Awami League is planning for elections under the Hasina government. This issue put both parties face to face in the streets across the country. The months ahead will see more confrontations. A kaalboishakhi (storm) is brewing in Bangladesh and nobody knows how this storm will play out. (The Diplomat)
Comment:
Muslims of secular Bangladesh had been polarised for decades between these two opposing political rivals. This clear polarisation caused havoc to the people of Bangladesh socially, economically and politically. Social harmony destabilised, economic life became hardened and the political climate remained gloomy due to the unhealthy politics of attacking, blaming and undermining the rival political party. Political persecution is a commonplace and the incumbent party always unleashes its wrath on the rival party in the form of rape, torture, imprisonment, enforced disappearance, extrajudicial killing, judicial killing, destroying livelihood, plundering businesses etc. As a result, the fate of the Muslims living in this country is at stake. This political split and polarisation is clearly destroying all the potentials and leaving its people in extreme deprivation, uncertainty and insecurity.
This political split and polarisation were created and maintained by both Britain and the USA. The incumbent Awami League is supported and fuelled by Britain and the rival BNP relies on the USA for its existence. To gain their respective vested geopolitical and economic interests, these two notorious colonial nations had been using Awami League and BNP for decades. Both rivalling party leaderships act as lackeys to their masters in London and Washington DC and entice their followers against the rivals and coax the people with false hope and promises. In reality, the USA and Britain are triggering every single move that is behind this polarisation and split because this is their only way to keep this nation divided and away from becoming a catalyst in the hatching revival of the Muslim Ummah.
While general people see no end to this deep political division in sight, co-called political pundits are calling for a compromise between the leadership of these two rival parties. However, it’s not possible without a compromise and consensus between the USA and Britain. Compromise or no compromise, people’s awful situation would remain the same. People should know that this oppressive situation is not their fate, rather it’s an artificial and imposed crisis which they must confront to foil it. Whoever is in favour of this split is our enemy and people should confront them everywhere. This Awami-BNP polarisation must be stopped for good to unify the Muslims of Bangladesh to face their real enemy, the colonialists. Islam must be the basis of this reconciliation and unity. Allah (swt) revealed:
“And hold fast, all of you together, to the ‘Rope of Allah’ (Islam) and be not divided among yourselves.” [Aali-Imran: 103].
