The Burnings of the Quran: An Exemplary Display of Hypocrisy
News:
The Danish state, along with Sweden, is taking decisive steps to ban the burning of the Quran in front of embassies.
Comment:
In this regard it is important to highlight the following points:
* The burning of the Quran is part of a broader campaign against Islamic values and Muslim practices for decades. The burnings of the Quran have continuously occurred with encouragement and support from politicians over several years, not emerging out of nowhere.
* The change in political stance to stop the burnings is driven by the desire to maintain good relations with the corrupt regimes in the Muslim world, and to avoid trade and geopolitical consequences, not out of consideration for Islam or Muslims.
* It is manipulative to downplay the issue to "the shameful actions of a few fools," while hastily holding Islam and the Muslim community accountable for the misdeeds of individual Muslims, urging Muslim communities to disassociate themselves. This is especially noteworthy when the culture of freedom facilitates these "shameful actions." Not only are hateful acts rewarded with accolades, but substantial police resources are expended to safeguard those responsible. Despite these circumstances, politicians continue to believe they can absolve themselves of any involvement.
* Freedom of speech has for years been the tool used to legitimize hate actions against Islam and Muslims, followed by a huge effort to emphasise the importance of not restricting it in any way. The sudden change in rhetoric and stance clearly shows that this was always a big scam with politicians hiding behind it, while on the other hand muting Muslims by enacting laws like the Preacher Law, which forbids imams from speaking freely from the pulpit.
* Reactions from regimes in the Muslim world is a hypocritical stance as well, as they couldn’t care less about the Quran. These cheap despots fight the Quran day and night and the reactions only aim to prevent the issue from escalating and sparking a new popular uprisings.
* The issue clearly highlights the lack of a proper shield and genuine representation for Muslims within an Islamic state. Western countries prioritize their interests over their values, as even a small economic threat rattles their political leaders, prompting swift action to curb Quran burnings. The future Islamic state will skillfully navigate diplomacy, negotiations, threats, strategic influence and assertive power to put an end to these recurring transgressions.
