Women Can Never Be Safe under the Fake Promise of Liberal Values

On the 20th of September 2023, the BBC reported that “Many teenage girls say they experience sexual harassment in their day-to-day lives and do not feel safe on the street alone. In a survey of 2,000 young people aged 13-18, more than a quarter of girls (27%) said they had experienced sexual harassment in some form. Some 44% also said they feel unsafe while walking alone on the street.

Given that on the 28th of September 2010, the BBC led with the headline, “Almost half of teenage girls 'feel unsafe at night”, it is no coincidence that the same themes are repeated in 2023. The liberal values that allow people to lead with reckless behaviours intent on self-interest are the values that still dominate the globe; women everywhere suffer the consequences of objectification and are valued in the context of their bodily service and assets to be exploited. The female identity of motherhood and the skills of femininity have been relegated to the rubbish bins of history and made a mockery with the rise of the LGBTQ agendas. Women are increasingly redundant, and the ageing process does not afford them the dignity of wisdom. Rather, humiliation and being made to feel they are a burden on their families is the expected treatment for most women. Loneliness, suicide and self-neglect are often the life path faced by women in advanced years. Female youth in the West are forced to normalise their bodies being used as public property, and any attempt to preserve their dignity and chastity is socially punished.  Attention-seeking becomes a mental disorder, and other achievements are rarely praised. The social media culture exacerbated the need to ridicule oneself to “likes, follows and shares”. Intellectual pursuits and useful social accomplishments are never financially rewarded at the same level as the degenerate women who sell their bodies in auction to the highest bidder. This early training is designed to create future women who are puppets with no personal respect and assume their role to lose their female rights and act the role of men whilst carrying the burdens of famine roles too. Allah (swt) gives the young women of the world a much greater dignity in the way that the female child is valued even before she is born. In response to the Jahiliyyah practice of killing the newborn girl, the ayat in the Quran reveals;

[وَإِذَا الْمَوْءُودَةُ سُئِلَتْ بِأَيِّ ذَنبٍ قُتِلَتْ]

“When the baby girl buried alive (maw’udah) is asked for what sin was she killed?” [Surat al-Takwir 81:8-9].

It is the obligation of the Ummah of Mohammad (saw) who bear witness to the Quran and Sunnah that these boundaries of the protection of women are secured in the establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) under the authority the righteous Amir of the Muslims.
