The US Malignant Two-State Solution Only Legitimises and Perpetuates the Zionist Crimes Against the Palestinians

As the genocide in Gaza rages on, there have been intensifying calls from the American and other Western governments as well as the European Union, the United Nations and rulers of the Muslim lands to increase efforts to bring the two-state solution for Palestine into fruition. On Saturday, 6th January, during a visit to Beirut, the European Union’s foreign policy chief stated that he aims to jumpstart a European-Arab initiative to revive a peace process that would result in a two-state solution to the ‘Israeli’-Palestine conflict. He said: “It is time to make our idea of two state solution a reality, otherwise the cycle of violence will continue generation after generation, funerals after funerals, because you cannot kill an idea.” During US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s recent Middle East tour, he met Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi who discussed a future scenario that would bring the West Bank and Gaza together as the basis of a two-state solution for ‘Israelis’ and Palestinians.
Comment:
The so-called two-state solution for Palestine has been spun for decades by Western governments and their puppet regimes in the Muslim lands as the only path to securing peace, security and justice for all in the land. In truth, it only serves as a means to continue and strengthen the existence and dominance of the Zionist occupation. Robert F. Kennedy Junior, a 2024 US Presidential Candidate, stated in an interview, “Israel is a bulwark for us…It’s almost like having an aircraft carrier in the Middle East. It’s our oldest ally. If Israel disappears, Russia, China and BRICS+ countries would control 90% of the oil in the world and that would be cataclysmic for US national security.” It is clear that the Zionist entity is the loyal watchdog of US colonialism in the Muslim lands. Hence, any solution promoted by the American government for the region will only ever serve its interests and that of its Zionist outpost rather than bring any good for the Palestinian Muslims.
Furthermore, how just is a two-state solution that suggests that a Palestinian state be built on 1967 borders, which essentially gifts the Zionist entity around 80% of the historical land of Palestine, while leaving the Palestinians with only one fifth of the land? How just is any plan that allows the thief to keep what he stole and that legitimises and sanitizes the usurping of land, bulldozing of homes, mass slaughter, the ethnic cleansing of people from their homeland and the mountain of other crimes of this brutal occupation that brought it into existence and spread its dominance over the Blessed Land? Does this not reward the aggression, genocide and terrorism enacted by the criminal Zionist entity and its continued subjugation of the Palestinian people? As one journalist described it – liberal western powers throw around the phrase of the ‘two-state’ solution to “paper over ugly realities”.
In addition, how viable will this so-called Palestinian state be? It would be demilitarised, with all resistance movements disarmed, making it exposed to and unable to protect itself from any future Zionist incursion aiming to grab more and more land. In an interview in February last year, the leader of the Zionist entity, Benjamin Netanyahu, stated that a future Palestinian state would have to cede control of security to ‘Israel’, admitting that this was “not perfect sovereignty.” In reality, this would be a state with NO sovereignty – no control over its borders, airspace, military or economy; a state with no real resources that would depend on the Zionist entity for its survival. What kind of state would this be?!! Furthermore, there are over 600,000 Jewish settlers and dozens of Jewish settlements in the West Bank, some equivalent to towns and cities with their own schools, hospitals and universities, making the goal of establishing a Palestinian state on the land practically impossible. This is why former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Craig Mokhiber described the two-state solution for Palestine as “An open joke in the corridors of the UN…both for its utter impossibility and for its total failure to account for the inalienable human rights of the Palestinian people.”
And finally, the establishment of a Palestinian state on the land of Palestine is at complete odds with the philosophy of Zionism which believes in taking control of the entire land of Palestine to build its so-called ‘Jewish homeland’. Harry Truman, US President in the 1940’s and 50’s stated in a video at the time, “Zionists were against anything that was to be done if they couldn’t have the whole of Palestine…It couldn’t be done. We had to do it in small doses…” The communication minister of the occupation, Shlomo Kahri said in December, “There will be no Palestinian state here. We will never allow another state to be established between Jordan and the [Mediterranean] Sea”, echoing the words of the Likud Charter. And in his speech to the UN General Assembly last September, Netanyahu brandished a map of the Middle East which showed ‘Israel’ comprising all of Palestine, from the river to the sea. It is clear that the Zionist entity will not accept anything less than full control over the entire land of Palestine.
The so-called two-state solution will be nothing but humiliation for the Muslims of Palestine. They will be resigned to a future living under the dominance of the criminal Zionist entity and subject to its will, including being ethnically cleansed from the rest of Palestine. Furthermore, it is a betrayal against Allah (swt), His Messenger (saw) and the believers, for the entire land of Palestine is sanctified by Allah (swt) and came under the rule of Islam during the Khilafah Rashidun (rightly guided Caliphate) and remained so for centuries. Therefore, according to the Shariah, the whole of the Blessed Land of Palestine belongs under the ownership of the Muslims until the Day of Judgement. Not one inch of it can be given away! Rather, the authority of Islam needs to established over it through the liberation of the entire land by the Muslim armies and the implementation of Islamic rule under the shade of the Khilafah state based upon the method of the Prophethood. Accepting anything less than this will only allow the slaughter and other crimes of this brutal murderous occupation to continue! Allah (swt) says:
[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَخُونُواْ اللّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ وَتَخُونُواْ أَمَانَاتِكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ]
“O you who believe, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trust while you know [the consequences].”[Al-Anfal: 27].
