Who will Protect Tajikistan's Muslims from the Kremlin's Crimes?!

On 5 April 2024, Human Rights Watch on its website reported: "Russia: Central Asian migrants are in danger. Since the horrific attack on Crocus City Hall on 22 March 2024, Central Asian migrants and other people of non-Slavic appearance have faced a marked increase in ethnic harassment and attacks in Russia.

Media outlets have reported an increase in ethnic profiling, xenophobic harassment and violence by private and public officials, including arbitrary detention and prolonged checks and detentions after several Tajiks were taken into custody in connection with the terrorist attack. This comes after law enforcement officials tortured at least two suspects in the terrorist attack, both Tajik nationals, and increased anti-migrant rhetoric by Russian authorities".

Comment:

The day after the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall on 22 March, the Kremlin announced the arrest of four direct perpetrators. This time, they were citizens of Tajikistan. Video clips containing brutal footage of violence have circulated on the Internet. One video shows law enforcers beating and forcing one of the detainees to eat a piece of his severed ear and threatening to cut off his genitals and feed them to him as well. In another clip, a detainee is lying undressed on the floor with an electric shock machine connected to his genitals. Torture and violence against detainees has become the norm in Russia.

Special Services from Russia travelled to Tajikistan to visit the relatives of the detained Tajiks. Russian security forces brazenly broke into homes, conducted searches, and detained relatives of the detainees for questioning for an unspecified period of time.

Immediately after the "announcement of the verdict" against migrants, in particular Tajiks, a "witch hunt" began in Russia. Tajik diasporas advised their citizens not to go out in the street in the evenings. Police and migration authorities began conducting mass searches of Tajiks' places of residence. During the searches, migrants are beaten, money, phones and computers are taken away. Migrant workers, in particular Tajiks, are like slaves without the right to vote. On the streets, the police and nationalists calmly beat and rob migrants, set fire to restaurants and shops owned by migrants, particularly Tajiks. Migration services take away work permits previously issued to Tajiks and deport them home.

The investigation into the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall is still unfinished, but the authorities have already accused Tajiks of committing the crime, the presumption of innocence in Russia is just an empty sound. Various analysts and publicists, after detailed studies of what happened, question the involvement of the 4 detained Tajiks and accuse the Russian security services themselves of committing this terrorist attack. Against the background of the Kremlin's numerous crimes against Tajiks, both in Russia and in Tajikistan itself, the official authorities, represented by E. Rahmon and others, remain silent. The President of Tajikistan, E. Rahmon, not only fails to protect his citizens from attacks, abuse and humiliation, but also indulges the demands of his patron and mentor V. Putin, thus showing how worthless and weak E. Rahmon is even in his own country.

Muslims! This shame, suffering and humiliation will continue as long as we are ruled by such cowardly and cruel rulers. Getting rid of the oppression of the corrupt tyrants of our rulers is a matter of life and death. Hurry up and join the work of Hizb ut Tahrir on the revival of the Second Righteous State Khilafah (Caliphate) according to the method of Prophethood. Imam Muslim transmitted from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: «إنما الإمام جنة يقاتل من ورائه ويتقى به»“The Imam is the shield behind which one fights and by which one defends oneself.” Allah Almighty said in His Noble Book:

[الَّذِينَ إِن مَّكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ وَأَمَرُوا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهَوْا عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَلِلَّهِ عَاقِبَةُ الْأُمُورِ]

“And they are those who, if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give zakāh and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And to Allah belongs the outcome of all matters” [22:41].
