Rahmon’s Regime Seeks to Eradicate Islam and Muslims in the Country

News:

On 27 May, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan published a decision on its website: “The press release of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan on the movements, parties and terrorist-extremist organisations whose activities are prohibited in the Republic of Tajikistan.

We would like to inform the citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan that 29 of the following parties, groups, movements and associations have been declared terrorist-extremist organisations by decisions of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan and their activities have been banned in the territory of the country, and the import of literature and websites of these organisations have been banned”.

Comment:

The manifestation of Islam in the country inspires fear in the hearts of those in power in Tajikistan's government. On 27 May, the website of the Supreme Court of Tajikistan published a list of movements, parties and organisations whose activities are banned in the country.

It is noted that 29 organisations on the list are recognised as terrorist-extremist. The list opens with the Islamic Renaissance Party of Tajikistan (IRPT), which for 16 years was the only officially operating religious party in the former Soviet Union. In 2015, it was accused of organising a military mutiny by the country's former deputy defence minister, Abduhalim Nazarzoda, after which the Supreme Court of Tajikistan declared the party a terrorist-extremist organisation. Seven years later, it was recognised as a terrorist organisation in Russia.

Over the past year, the parliament has approved many laws against Islam and Muslims. For example, an updated list of banned organisations. All these parties or groups differ from each other in their thoughts, goals and method of achieving this goal. Prohibition by the parliament to wear hijab in public places, for which individuals can be fined up to $700 and officials up to $3,600. Prohibition of the tradition of idgardak - going round the houses of children in the days of holidays of the holy month of Ramadan and giving sweets to children. All this points to the fact that any manifestation of Islam, or even more so the presence of some political parties does not give peace of mind to the criminal government of the country.

The indictment by the Russian Federation of some Tajik nationals for the terrorist attack in Moscow's Crocus City prompted the Tajik government to use this situation to pass several laws against Islamic dress of women and Islamic rituals. After the terrorist attack in Moscow, the life of migrants especially from Tajikistan became even more unbearable. Even this plight has not stopped the Tajik government to show its loyalty to this godless country. After all, Tajikistan is completely dependent on the Russian Federation.

The fight against Islam in the country comes mainly from President Rahmon himself. After all, when he came to power in the 90s, those who challenged him for power were from among Muslims and Islamic parties. This hatred of Muslims eventually turned into hatred of any manifestation of Islam in life. He also developed a fear and mania that he might lose power, even from those groups who do not aim to change the system in Tajikistan, and agree just to some democratic reforms.

O Muslims! The struggle against Islam is increasing year after year in Tajikistan. As long as there are such tyrant rulers and the system of kufr, there will be no rest for Muslims. Because of this situation, some seek the contentment of a criminal ruler in order to live in peace and prosperity. But Umar (r.a.) said: “Islam has exalted us, and if we seek greatness in anything else, we will be humiliated again.” By following Islam, we worship and obey our Lord. He is the Great and Almighty. Each of these rulers will sooner or later return to Allah. So whom should we obey and fear? Whose contentment should we seek? Whom should we fear? As long as we fear these criminal rulers, they dare to forbid us to follow the religion of our Lord, to live according to His Laws. The time has come when the best men of this Ummah should make all their efforts to change this vicious reality by changing the tyranny of democracy to justice of the Khilafah (Caliphate) from Dar ul Kufr to Dar ul Islam relying on Allah's help.

The Almighty Allah said:

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن تَنصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ]

“O believers! If you stand up for Allah, He will help you and make your steps firm” [47: 7].
