The Taliban Strengthen Relations with the Tyrants of Central Asia

On 6 September, Kazinform news agency reported: ‘Kyrgyzstan has removed the Taliban from the list of terrorist organisations. The Prosecutor General's Office of Kyrgyzstan has published a list of banned extremist terrorist organisations in the country, which does not include the Taliban, Kazinform's own correspondent reports.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan appreciates and welcomes the decision of the Kyrgyz authorities to exclude the Taliban movement, formerly associated with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, from the list of banned organisations in the country. It was noted that Kyrgyzstan's actions, along with decisions of other countries, means growing political recognition of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan at both regional and international levels, removes obstacles to strengthening bilateral relations between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and other countries’.

Comment:

Although Russia has not yet removed the Taliban from its list of banned and terrorist organisations, its allies Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have removed the Taliban from their lists of terrorist organisations. While this may seem like an independent policy of the Central Asian tyrants from Russia, the establishment of political and economic treaties with the Taliban is just another elaborate game played by the Kremlin.

With Russia currently under Western sanctions, the Kremlin needs markets and stable routes for goods and resources. In June this year, Zamir Kabulov, Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Second Asia Department, told the Rossiya Segodnya press centre that Moscow would support Afghanistan's full membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO, which includes Russia, China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan) after the Taliban is removed from Russia's list of banned organisations. Therefore, the removal of the Taliban from the blacklist of Central Asian tyrants is based on Russia's temporary economic and political interests.

At the same time, the Kyrgyz authorities systematically persecute Muslims in the country. Every month there are raids and arrests of Muslims calling for the Islamic way of life, both men and women. Recently, on 16 September, 7 Muslims calling for an Islamic way of life were arrested and charged with extremist and terrorist activities. Mosques and Islamic educational centres are under the full control of the authorities' intelligence services. The Kyrgyz authorities are not just serving the economic and political interests of the coloniser Russia, but are also involved in a war against Islam and Muslims.

The Taliban’s friendship with the tyrants of Central Asia and his eagerness to please the disbelieving colonisers, against the backdrop of their apparent commitment to the world politics of disbelief, and the refusal of the Taliban to work on the Islamic project of reviving the Islamic way of life by the method of Prophethood, shows how untenable and ignorant the Taliban is in terms of understanding Islam as a world system of government.

The Taliban rushes to establish trade relations with Russia, China and other tyrants and colonisers, disregarding the persecution of Muslims in these countries, abandoning trade with Allah and seeking the pleasure of Allah Almighty.

Allah Almighty said in His Noble Book:

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى تِجَارَةٍ تُنجِيكُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ * تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَتُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنفُسِكُمْ ذَلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ * يَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَيُدْخِلْكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ وَمَسَاكِنَ طَيِّبَةً فِي جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ ذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ * وَأُخْرَى تُحِبُّونَهَا نَصْرٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَفَتْحٌ قَرِيبٌ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ]

“O believers! Shall I guide you to an exchange that will save you from a painful punishment?It is to have faith in Allah and His Messenger, and strive in the cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives. That is best for you, if only you knew.He will forgive your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow, and ˹house you in˺ splendid homes in the Gardens of Eternity. That is the ultimate triumph. He will also give you another favour that you long for: help from Allah and an imminent victory. So give good news (O Prophet) to the believers” [61:10-13].
