Pharaoh Rahmon Hunts for Young Muslims in Tajikistan
News:
On October 1, the Current Time news agency reported: “In Tajikistan, officials and civil servants are tasked with conducting door-to-door canvassing and educating the population about radicalism and extremism. In Khatlon region in the south of the country, the leadership has assigned 1,800 civil servants - mostly education, health care and local council members - to conduct such talks.
Officials claim that the only goal of such conversations is to prevent radicalization of young people. At meetings with people, they discuss the topic of women's national clothing (the authorities are promoting it instead of hijabs, believing that hijabs are worn by radicals), ask about relatives who live abroad and may become religious extremists, and also agitate young people to serve in the army.
The head of the Khatlon region, Davlatali Said, reported earlier that officials who conduct campaign talks have undergone special courses on communicating with the population. “To train these groups in all districts, we held seminars with the involvement of specialists. A manual has also been developed,” he demonstrated. “In the first seven months of this year, the groups visited almost 622 thousand houses.”
Comment
The tyrant Rahmon's attempts to stop the awakening of Islam among the people resemble the madness of the Egyptian Pharaoh. Having learnt of the prediction that his doom would come from a man born among the Israelites, Pharaoh, gripped by fear, ordered the killing of all newborn boys. His soldiers brutally massacred male infants, sparing no one.
Today, the Pharaoh of Tajikistan, Rahmon, seeing the people turning to Islam, directs all his energies to alienate people from the Deen. He has at his disposal the army, the police, imams subordinate to him, television and the entire state apparatus. Now he is even using civil servants, sending them home to forbid young people to study Islam and women to wear the hijab. Those calling for Islam are accused of extremism andterrorism.
The imposition of heavy fines for wearing the hijab in public places, criminal prosecution of parents whose children attend mosques, prison sentences for calling to Islam, torture and abuse in prisons - all this does not frighten the Muslims of Tajikistan. On the contrary, the people are drawn to Islam with even greater zeal after each new threat from Pharaoh Rahmon.
This reality confirms again that the Islamic Ummah is eager to live according to the laws of Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and is ready to revive the Islamic way of life despite all difficulties and obstacles.
“They wish to extinguish Allah’s light with their mouths, but Allah will only allow His light to be perfected, even to the dismay of the disbelievers.” [TMQ 9:32]
