Muslims Must Stand United Against the Enemies of Islam

PESHAWAR, Pakistan — Pakistan in rare airstrikes targeted multiple suspected hideouts of the Pakistani Taliban inside neighboring Afghanistan on Tuesday, dismantling a training facility and killing some insurgents, four security officials said. (Washington Post)

Enayatullah Khwarazmi, a spokesperson for the Taliban Ministry of Defence, denied the Pakistani claims and posted on X (formerly Twitter) that "civilian people, mostly Waziristani refugees," had been killed in the airstrike. Khwarazmi added that "several children and other civilians were martyred and wounded" in the attack.

The attack happened at a time when Taliban leaders hosted meetings with a high-level Pakistani delegation, marking the resumption of such interactions after a yearlong pause due to terrorism allegations, and the Pakistani Ambassador Sadiq was on a visit to build ties and tweeted on X saying: “Met Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi today. Held wide-ranging discussions. Agreed to work together to further strengthen bilateral cooperation as well as for peace and progress in the region.”

This greed for Western defined peace and progress has blinded the Muslim leadership of their original responsibilities and as a result we are witnessing the spillage of Muslim blood in every corner of the world. If the sword is drawn among the brothers, it serves the American interest in multiple ways. Muslims appear to be disunited to the extent that the idea of reunification seems impossible. The West’s portrayal of itself as the caretaker and saviour of the world, the only sane and refined power that is managing the savages of the world, Muslims being the most needed of its restraints. After the US exit from Afghanistan, and formation of Taliban Government, Pakistan army tried to take cautious moves of separating itself from the mess left behind by the US. The officials knew the best about the lies that have been lived and the monsters that have been created according to the need of that time. One of these protective measures was to expel nearly 800,000 Afghan refugees from Pakistan. Many of these have lived here for decades and considered it their home. Many were born here.

 The Pakistan military needs to remember that they belong to a country that was created in the name of Islam with the people leaving everything behind to reach a land where all Muslims will be safe. This land belonged to no ethnicity. This definition was given later that a Muslim across the stretched line is different from the Muslim on the other side. Here we need to erase the lines instead of removing the people who do not fit the nationality. People of Afghanistan and the people of Tribal areas of Pakistan can become an asset for our army. Three Anglo Afghan wars till the 2021 US exit from Afghanistan history has seen many examples of the strength of these people. Our sons in the forces of Pakistan and the people of Afghanistan bow in front of the same God. Their rights and responsibilities are based on the Islamic Aqeedah, and not on nationality. Nationalist thought is based on the area you identify with, or the area that gives you textual acceptance, so any kind of geographic change can change your nationality. The situation of Afghanistan, KPK and even Balochistan makes it very clear that the boundaries of Nation States failed in breaking the centuries old ties of tribalism. Contrary to that, tribalism has proven itself to be stronger than the nationalistic bond. Safeguarding territorial sovereignty and integrity on the basis of man defined areas changes the meaning of safeguarding for the sake of Islam. It redefines the purpose of fighting and the soldier will have to fight whomever the Capitalist ruler asks him to fight and kill. Be it his own Muslim brother standing on the other side of the line. As Muslims our Covenant is with Allah. Blood, love, land and benefit can not take charge. There is an old proverb “I am against my brother. Me and my brother against my cousin. I, my brother, and my cousin against the world.” This is not what we are. We are brothers in Islam and we should stand united against the enemy of Islam.

 Soldiers of the Pakistan army are our sons and brothers and we are fulfilling our responsibility by reminding them to do theirs. Loyalty and obedience is for Allah (swt) only and to the ruler who is implementing the law according to the commands of Allah (swt). Caliphate on the method of the Prophet (saw) will not only save the lives of the Muslims but will invite many towards Islam and will bring them good of the both worlds.

[وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَى لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْنًا يَعْبُدُونَنِي لا يُشْرِكُونَ بِي شَيْئًا وَمَنْ كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ]

“Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that - then those are the defiantly disobedient.” [An-Nur: 55]
