Modi Plays Anti-Pakistan Card to Boost Election Hopes

With elections around the corner, the Indian Prime Minister hopeful, Narendra Modi, had said if he wins the elections he would bring fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim to India to be tried for the 1993 blasts in Mumbai. With the anniversary of the Abottabad attack drawing near, Modi said, "Did President Obama hold a press conference regarding US Navy Seals' operation in Abbottabad for targeting al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden? ... Did he issue any statement or hold negotiations with Osama?" In response Pakistan's Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday 30 April said that statement of Narendra Modi regarding attacking Pakistan was "irresponsible and shameful." He said this statement from an expected Indian prime minister and leader of a major political party was provocative and condemnable showing enmity towards Pakistan. Narendra Modi had crossed all limits in his enmity towards Pakistan and Muslims, and his election, as Indian prime minister would destabilise the region, he added.  Chaudhry Nisar then said that the efforts of the Pakistani government for peace in the region should not be construed as its weakness.

If the Raheel-Nawaz regime is sincere to Muslims and Islam, it must realize the contradiction regarding its stance towards our enemies. On the one hand the regime claims to see the open enmity of the Hindu ruling class, both BJP and Congress, as everyone does, but on the other hand, it blinds itself, adopting a friendly stance towards India as if it were a non-belligerent nation. Yet, even before the election results have been announced, the regime announced its willingness to deal with Modi for normalization of ties. Politically, the regime hosts a large diplomatic presence of this hostile nation within our borders, even though it is know that Indian embassies and consulates are a source of mischief throughout the region. Economically, the Raheel-Nawaz regime repeatedly offers Pakistan's economy as a bait and reward for India, which is at the bidding of the masters of the regime, America, who seeks to tie India to its camp. In addition, militarily, the regime is maintaining the Kayani-Zardari military doctrine of leaving the border with India compromised for the sake of America's occupation beyond the border with Afghanistan. These are the gifts offered by the regime to a Hindu State that has fought with us from day one of the partition of these Muslims Lands, whose forces have killed and raped in Occupied Kashmir, created havoc within our borders over decades and are looking for every opportunity to do so.

The Khilafah "Caliphate" will adopt a strong, principled and consistent stance with hostile nations and that is soon inshaaAllah. It will not give them a square inch politically, economically or militarily to increase in their arrogance against Islam and Muslims. Allah (swt) says, إِنَّمَا يَنْهَاكُمْ اللَّهُ عَنْ الَّذِينَ قَاتَلُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ وَأَخْرَجُوكُمْ مِنْ دِيَارِكُمْ وَظَاهَرُوا عَلَى إِخْرَاجِكُمْ أَنْ تَوَلَّوْهُمْ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّهُمْ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ الظَّالِمُونَ ْ "Allah forbids your friendship with those who fight you because of your faith, and drive you from your homelands, or aid others to do so: and as for those who turn to them in friendship, they are truly oppressors." [Surah al-Mumtahina 60:9]

The Duty of the Armed Forces is to Grant Nussrah for Khilafah "Caliphate"

On 30 April 2014, in a ceremony held to mark Youm-e-Shuhada (Martyrs Day) and honour the armed forces personnel, at the Army's General Headquarters in the garrison town of Rawalpindi, Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif said, "Our martyrs blood will not go in vain. It is our duty to give the next generation a stable and prosperous Pakistan." Reaffirming the armed forces' commitment to ensuring the stability of democracy and supremacy of the constitution, he said, "This is the only way to cement our place among the developed nations." However, Pakistan will neither see stability nor prosperity, as long as democracy remains in Pakistan. It is democracy that established the internal threat within Pakistan, a vast terrorist network of Raymond Davis assassins, private military mercenaries, backed by American intelligence, as well as supported by the American fortresses masquerading as an embassy in our capital and consulates in our major cities. It is this network which has kept the fires of the war of Fitna burning within our country, by orchestrating attacks on our armed forces and civilians. They challenge the writ of the state but are not challenged and eradicated. Indeed, democracy is a kufr system that has unleashed havoc in our country.

The only way to secure prosperity and stability for the Muslims is to follow the example of RasulAllah (saw). RasulAllah (saw) stripped the support of the kufr system from within the people, by boldly rejecting the system of kufr and calling the people openly to Islam. Moreover, he (saw) stripped the kufr rule of its physical support from those who had the material power to secure its survival. He (saw) personally met the men of war, fire and steel, and demanded from them the Nussrah for the Deen. He (saw) travelled near and far, in hardship and in ease, to secure the Nussrah for Islam as a state. He (saw) sought the strong, discerning material capability in detail, asking «وهل عند قومك منعة؟» "Do your people have strength?" and rejecting those too weak to secure Islam from its enemies. Thus he met many tribes including; Banu Kalb, Banu Hanifah, Banu Amr bin Sa'asah, Banu Kinda and Banu Shaiban.  He (saw) persisted in this methodology patiently until Allah granted success in the matter of Nussrah, with the Ansar (ra), a small but sincere and brave group from within the men of war. And so Nussrah for Islam as a rule was secured by the methodology of the Prophethood, transforming the torn and divided Yathrib into a powerful beacon for Islam, Madinah Al-Manawwarah. Thus the need of the time is for the armed forces to withdraw support from the system of kufr and grant the Nussrah for the return of the Khilafah "Caliphate". Only then will they be mobilized according to Islamic injunctions to end all internal and external threats, ending the US presence from within our borders and our region for good.

Pakistan and Afghanistan Require Unification Under the Khilafah "Caliphate"

Afghan troops backed by Western air power have killed at tribal fighters near the Pakistan border, Afghan security officials said on Wednesday 30 April, in an assault against the Haqqani network, that is fighting the colonialist occupation and a source of major concern for Washington. The next day the Dawn reported, "India has signed an agreement under which it will pay Russia to supply arms and equipment to the Afghan military as foreign combat troops prepare to leave the country, in a move that risks infuriating Pakistan... "We'll work with India directly as well as trilaterally involving Russia," said an Afghan official in New Delhi. "Most of India's weapons are made in Russia or co-produced with Russia, so it makes sense."

The reality of Afghanistan today is that it is under American occupation, with a stooge government in place as a mask of legitimacy. Even after the partial withdrawal, America will maintain the dominant influence within Afghanistan, through its private security personnel and its followers within the Afghan political and military leadership. It is this American influence which has allowed India to enjoy unprecedented presence within Afghanistan, particularly in the form of Indian consulates which have been used as bases to incite instability within Pakistan's borders, Baluchistan and the tribal areas. Now there is news that India is strengthening its hold in Afghanistan through weapons supply.

This is the reality of the region today, with America and India extending their influence, representing a threat to the Muslims. Countering the American and Indian nexus demands the unification of the Muslim Lands under the Islamic ruling system, the Khilafah "Caliphate". Islam is a unifying force for the Muslims of South and Central Asia that are over half a billion in number, of which nearly 200 million are in the Hindu State itself. The combined forces of the wider Islamic Ummah is approaching six million, those of the Hindu State stand at one million. The call for Khilafah "Caliphate" has permeated through Central and South Asia, so the platform for the reunification of the Muslim Lands is in place. Moreover, there are many non-hostile non-Muslim states in the region who resent American and Indian aggression on their doorstep. They are also amenable to access to the huge resources of the Muslim Lands. The first step will be to do away with the colonialist drawn borders between Muslims, such as the Durand Line that separates Pakistan from Afghanistan.

The coming Khilafah "Caliphate" will regard the current Muslim states as the subject of unification, for the Khilafah "Caliphate" is a single state for all Muslims and the Ummah must hold the Khaleefah for Islam's implementation. As Hizb ut Tahrir has adopted in its Introduction to the Constitution, Article 181, "Politics is taking care of the affairs of the Ummah domestically and internationally. It is performed by the State and the Ummah. The State takes on this task practically through government, and the Ummah accounts the State upon it." In Article 189, Clause 1, it has adopted, "The existing states in the Islamic world are considered to be part of one land and therefore they are not included within the sphere of foreign affairs. Relations with these countries are not considered to be in the realm of foreign policy and it is obligatory to work to unify all these countries into one state."

Electricity Underproduction is the Bitter Fruit of Privatization

Federal Minister for Water and Power, Khwaja Muhammad Asif, on Friday May 2nd declared the federal government as one of the biggest defaulters of electricity bills. In a bid to clear outstanding dues of billions of rupees, on Tuesday 29 April, the capital's electricity company, Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco), disconnected power supply to the Prime Minister's Secretariat, President House, Supreme Court and Pakistan Secretariat, including the offices of the Ministry of Water and Power itself! Minister of State for Water and Power, Abid Sher Ali, said on 29 April that the total outstanding dues to power companies stood at Rs475 billion, with another Rs33bn added to the total in the current fiscal year.

It is such unpaid bills that force the private power companies that produce electricity reducing their electricity production, to maintain their profits. This is the cause of the huge power shortages throughout the country which cause misery as people are not able to run air conditioners or even fans, when temperatures soar to over forty degrees. In the peak of the summer only 10,Hizb MW or less electricity is being produced. This is even though the total installed capacity is over 20,Hizb MW, dropping to 15,HizbMW at times of low river flow. This is against a demand that varies between 11,500 MW in the cooler months up to 17,500 MW, during the peak of the hot summer. So it is clear twelve to eighteen hours without electricity per day in the summer and six hours in the winter, is the result of not producing at full capacity. All this is the result of making electricity a business and not a right for the people by privatizing the production of electricity and matters directly related to it.

Only the Khilafah "Caliphate" will solve this problem because it will deal with the origin of the problem, which is the privatization of the public property of the Ummah. As a system Islam ensures the distribution of wealth and one of its mechanisms is the public ownership of electricity resources as well as coal, oil and gas. As such these resources are neither owned by the state nor individuals. Instead, the state administers this resource to ensure that its benefit is used for all the citizens, regardless of race, color, school of thought and religion. The Khilafah "Caliphate" will abolish taxes upon power and fuel which have further greatly inflated their prices. It will charge to cover their production and distribution costs, if needed, and any profit from sales, for example to non-hostile non-Muslim states, will be put to use for taking care of the public's needs. Islam's electricity policy will not only end the power shortages, it will contribute to a massive industrialization of Pakistan, supervised by the Khilafah "Caliphate".

In its Introduction to the Constitution, Hizb ut Tahrir has adopted in Article 137, There are three categories of Public Ownership: a. Public utilities, such as the open spaces in the towns. b. Vast mineral resources, like oil fields. c. Things which, by their nature, preclude ownership by individuals, such as rivers." In Article 138, it has adopted, "Factories by their nature are private property. However, they follow the rule of the product that they are producing. If the product is private property then the factory is considered to be private property, such as textile factories. If the product is public property then the factory is considered public property, such as factories for iron ore production." In Article 139, it has adopted, "The State is not permitted to transfer private property into public property, since public property is confirmed by the nature and characteristic of wealth and not by the opinion of the State." In addition, in Article 140, it has adopted, "Every individual from the Ummah has the right to utilise anything from public property, and it is not allowed for the State to permit someone to individually possess or utilise it."

The Khilafah "Caliphate" will deal with the enemy as an enemy

The Commander US Central Command, Gen Lloyd Austin met Pakistan's Army Chief, Gen Raheel Sharif, on Friday 2 May for discussions on Afghanistan and bilateral military-to-military cooperation. The Inter-Services Public Relations said the two discussed matters of mutual interest with special emphasis on regional security. The Dawn reported on 3 May, "a source privy to the agenda said that the two were to discuss on the post-2014 situation, particularly in the context of the Afghan-US Bilateral Security Agreement, the size of the residual force in Afghanistan and the retrograde movement of equipment."

In the Khilafah "Caliphate", it will not be allowed for any foreign official to meet in such a way with the Ameer of Jihad, let alone the official of a belligerent nation, that has occupied Muslim Lands and fought the Muslims! The Khaleefah himself, as commander of the armed forces, will deal with the enemy and that is on a hostile footing. Occupiers of Muslim Lands will be dealt with them on the basis of a real war existing with them - irrespective of whether an armistice exists with them or not - and all their subjects are prevented from entering the State, let alone being given red carpet treatment and intimate knowledge of our sensitive matters.

The Kuffar colonialists have always oppressed and attacked Muslims, occupied their lands and stolen their resources. America is not an exception, rather it is the worst of them in enmity. America invaded the region and established a military presence within the region. It opened the doors to India for establishing its own mischievous presence in Afghanistan, from which it has launched Fitna within Pakistan's borders. The alliance with America was then used as a basis for America to establish an extensive network of its Raymond Davis spies, to undertake black ops against our armed forces and our civilians. The Americans are an open enemy to Allah (swt) and His Messenger (saw); and the enemy cannot be made a close confidant for such sensitive national security matters. To confide in them is like a sheep confiding in a rabid wolf. Such contact with the enemy is akin to herding the entire nation into the clutches of the enemies. How can their be treatment of the openly hostile kuffar as friends, seeking honour from them and opening the nation to harm at their hands, when Allah (ta'ala) has ordered that enemies are taken as an enemy, ((يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَتَّخِذُوا عَدُوِّي وَعَدُوَّكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ تُلْقُونَ إِلَيْهِمْ بِالْمَوَدَّةِ وَقَدْ كَفَرُوا بِمَا جَاءَكُمْ مِنْ الْحَقِّ)) "O you who believe! Choose not My enemies who are your enemies as friends showing them affection even when they disbelieve in that truth that has come to you." [Surah Mumtahina 60:1]

Regime plunges Pakistan $1bn further into condition laden- debt trap

The World Bank has approved $12 billion in loans for Pakistan to be disbursed in five years, including $1bn to be provided in the second week of May. Rachid Benmessaoud, the bank's director for Pakistan, told journalists at a video conference on Friday 2 May that the World Bank group approved a $1bn loan on 1 May. This loan is imposing economic reforms, including those aimed at the power sector. A $600 million loan, along with additional financing from the Asian Development Bank and the Japan International Credit Agency, would target the power system. He spoke of improving tariff policy and opening the market to private participation. Mr Benmessaoud said loans were anchored in the framework of 4Es (Energy, Economy, Extremism and Education).

So not only is the regime collaborating with the World Bank to force Pakistan deeper into interest based debt, it is working to hand over the power sector, a vast source of revenue, to private hands. In its "Pakistan Power Sector Reform Development Policy Credit" of April 2014 report, the World Bank maintains, "Reducing subsidies and improving tariff policy." These measures increase the cost of electricity, making it more profitable for private owners. Indeed the World Bank has closely overseen rises in electricity charges, which surged between 2Hizb and 2004 and continue to rise such that people are paying as much for electricity in the winter as they used to in the peak of summer before massive privatization took hold. As if Pakistan has not suffered enough privatization, the same report asserts even more privatization, stating "opening the market to private participation." Such criminal activity is the reason that the loans are so dangerous. The loans come with the burden of interest and cripple the economy so that the country remains forever in debt and in the control of the colonialists.

However, Pakistan will thrive under the Khilafah "Caliphate" soon inshaaAllah. Pakistan has abundant resources that are deemed public from the point of view of Islam, in accordance to the command of RasulAllah (saw) when he (saw) said, «المسلمون شرکاء فی ثلاث الماء والکلأ والنار» "Muslims are partners (associates) in three things: in water, pastures and fire (energy)" [Abu Dawood]. Pakistan has the seventh largest coal resources in the world of 175 billion tonnes, sufficient to meet its energy needs for centuries. Pakistan has the Saindak mines, which have an estimated 412 million tonnes of copper, yielding 0.5g of gold per tonne and 1.5g of silver. Thus, in the coming Khilafah "Caliphate", which we yearn to see soon, public properties, which include copper, gold, coal and power, can neither be privatized nor nationalized, rather the people are its actual owners and beneficiaries, whilst the state only administers them on people's behalf, to look after their affairs.

Regime is Lying by Claiming that GDP will Reduce Poverty

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday 4 May boasted that the national economy would grow by over 4 per cent during the current fiscal year (2013-14), while addressing the First Business Session at 47th annual meeting of Asian Development Bank (ADB) Board of Governors in Astana, Kazakstan.

The regime boasts that the GDP growth rate of Pakistan this year is a sign that it is succeeding in reviving the economy. The government claims that the increase in overall production is the strategy to reduce poverty. In reality the concept of GDP, taken from Capitalism, is used to hide the actual cause of poverty from the public. The real reason for poverty in Pakistan is not the lack of resources or production, but the lack of distribution of the resources and wealth. The main reason for this is the western capitalist system, which concentrates wealth in the hands of a few, through laws that govern the possession of property and the forms of revenue. ِSo, as one example, a few hands become exclusive possessors of the Ummah's public property, which represent great wealth and which the society has great need, such as power, coal, copper and gas. This imperialist system is being implemented in Pakistan for over sixty years. GDP, and other indicators of this type that have been derived from Capitalism, bury the plight of the millions suffering from poverty and hunger, under the label of total national income. Therefore, the claim of eliminating poverty by increasing GDP is a clear lie.

The Islamic economic system ensures that there is circulation of wealth in the society and that the wealth does not accumulate in the hands of a few through a whole host of Shariah rulings regarding acquiring ownership of wealth, disposal of wealth and revenue generation. Allah (swt) revealed, كَيْ لاَ يَكُونَ دُولَةً بَيْنَ الأَغْنِيَاءِ مِنْكُمْ "Lest the wealth circulates solely among the wealthy from amongst you." [Surah Al-Hashr 59: 7]. This is how Islam ensured that the Indian Subcontinent was the economic marvel of the world, coveted by the colonialists so intensely that it drove them to seek invasion of it. And once Islam is implemented again inshaaAllah these lands will become a beacon of hope for all the people of the world exhausted by the oppression of Capitalism.
