Democracy is Responsible for Pakistan's Instability

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz, on 18 January said United States (US) policies were responsible for instability in South Asia, urging the Obama administration to analyse its role – and that of its allies – in the region. Winding up discussion on an adjournment motion in the Upper House, moved by Senator Mushahid Hussain, about US President Barack Obama's recent remarks that instability will continue for decades in Pakistan, Aziz said: "Pakistan's answer to instability is the strengthening democracy in the country." "The US created 'holy warriors' in our tribal areas during the 'Afghan Jihad' and then left them as soon as the war was over, a factor which contributed to decades of instability in Pakistan and the region," asserted Aziz.

Regarding America causing instability in Pakistan, Sartaj Aziz is stating the obvious. However, his deception is claiming that Democracy will bring stability to Pakistan. Democracy is the man-made law which has allowed Pakistan to make an alliance with America, in direct contradiction with the saying of Allah (swt),

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَتَّخِذُوا عَدُوِّي وَعَدُوَّكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ تُلْقُونَ إِلَيْهِمْ بِالْمَوَدَّةِ وَقَدْ كَفَرُوا بِمَا جَاءَكُمْ مِنْ الْحَقِّ

“O you who believe! Choose not My enemies who are your enemies as friends showing them affection even when they disbelieve in that truth that has come to you.” [Surah Mumtahina 60:1] And He said (swt),

((إِن يَثْقَفُوكُمْ يَكُونُواْ لَكُمْ أَعْدَآءً وَيَبْسُطُواْ إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَلْسِنَتَهُمْ بِالسُّوءِ وَوَدُّواْ لَوْ تَكْفُرُونَ))

“Should they gain the upper hand over you, they would behave to you as enemies, and stretch forth their hands and their tongues against you with evil, and they desire that you should disbelieve.” [Surah Mumtahina 60:2]

Democracy allows a huge American presence on our soil to perpetrate its evil designs. Indeed, those who are informed of matters know well that American intelligence has long infiltrated the loose tribal networks and they incite the ignorant amongst them to turn their weapons away from the crusaders who occupy Afghanistan, onto their own Muslim brethren. Barbaric acts such as the killing of children are the direct outcome of American foreign policy, specifically the policies of low intensity conflict and covert, "black" operations. This is why even when the traitorous rulers catch the American spies, such as Raymond Davis and Eugene Joel Cox, they promptly release them. This blatant contradiction is because the regime cares neither for us, nor our Deen nor the commands of our Lord, Allah (swt). Our suffering and immense losses, in terms of lives and property, are a direct consequence of the regime making alliance with our enemies, showing affection to them, extending them sanctuary and provisions within our country, providing them an upper hand over us by which to strike us.

Brutal Attack on University Demands Re-establishment of the Khilafah "Caliphate"

On 20 January, gunmen entered Bacha Khan University in Khyber Pakhtunkha’s Charsadda town Wednesday and opened fire on students and faculty members as they gathered at the school for a poetry recital to commemorate the death anniversary of the activist and leader whom the school is named after. The mastermind of the APS Peshawar attack, Umar Mansoor, of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Geedar group has claimed the attack through a post on his Facebook page, adding that four attackers were sent to the university. However, a spokesperson from the TTP Mohammad Khorasani issued a conflicting statement shortly after Mansoor's claim, in which Khorasani condemned the attack, terming it "against Shariah". Khorasani also warned that those "using the naming of TTP will be brought to justice".

The Muslims must condemn strongly the perpetrators of the brutal attack for killing the innocent is invoking the wrath of Allah (swt) in this world and the Hereafter, for Allah (swt) said,

((وَمَنْ يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ خَالِدًا فِيهَا وَغَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُ عَذَابًا عَظِيمًا))

“But whoever kills a believer intentionally - his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him and has cursed him and has prepared for him a great punishment.” [Surah An-Nisa'a 4:93].

The Muslims must also hold the regime to account for it is responsible for such attacks due to its blind alliance to America. It is noticed by the aware that a string of such attacks have swept the Muslim World since the US President's State of the Union address in which Obama confidently and ominously declared, "instability will continue for decades in many parts of the world — in the Middle East, in Afghanistan and Pakistan, in parts of Central America, Africa and Asia." Obama said this with confidence because the regime in Pakistan continues to give free hand to American intelligence and private military whose speciality are black operations that the regime can use to justify the war in the tribal areas. This war is a war of Fitna were Muslims slaughter Muslims, instead of standing together as one row to eject the American crusaders from Afghanistan, as the Soviet Russian and British Imperialists were ejected before them.

And the Muslims must call upon the armed forces to perform their duty to end the horrible and destructive consequences of alliance with America. It is upon them to demand that they give Nussrah to Hizb ut Tahrir for the re-establishment of the Khilafah "Caliphate" (Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood, which will eradicate all American influence within the region, restoring peace and security for the Muslims.

Capitalism Cripples Textile Industry

Exports of textile and clothing declined 8.93 per cent to $6.269 billion during the first half (July-December) of 2015-16 from $6.884bn in the same period last year, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics data showed on 20 January 2016. The fall in exports was witnessed despite a duty free access to European markets under GSP+ scheme. The State Bank of Pakistan in a recent report said that factors like recession in advance economies, snags in tax machinery and energy shortage have stagnated the exports. Exports of low value-added products, such as cotton yarn dipped 29.66pc; yarn other than cotton yarn down by 25.75pc; and cotton carded declined by 98.80pc. Cotton cloth exports fell by 10.24pc; art, silk dropped by 21.73pc; tents, canvas by 45.37pc and made-up articles excluding towel by 1pc. Raw cotton exports also declined by 29.66pc.

The capitalist system is crippling local industry, including the potentially world leading textile industry. Privatization of energy assets have meant that the private owners are focussed on profits rather than providing steady supply when profits are not guaranteed, creating havoc for industry. Privatization deprives the national coffers of revenue and so the government has greatly inflated taxation on industrial inputs, adding to the woes of industry. Nothing short of the abolition of capitalism, and the restoration of Islam's economic system will revive industry. In the Khilafah "Caliphate", public resources such as abundant minerals, fuel resources and energy forms such as electricity are publicly owned. Their revenue and utilization is for the entire public and the State ensures this matter, simultaneously ensuring constant supply to private industry and providing plentiful revenues to the Baytul-Maal.

Unification of Pakistan and Afghanistan under the Khilafah "Caliphate" Will End Instability

Pakistan's Chief of the Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif, called Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, who is in Davos for attending a meeting of the World Economic Forum, Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah and top US and NATO commander in Afgha¬nistan Gen John Campbell to inform them about the evidence that has emerged from investigations into the university attack pointing towards Afghanistan-based terrorists controlling it. “As investigations and leads so far, Charsadda terror attack was being controlled from a location in Afghanistan through Afghan cellphone by a TTP operative,” military spokesman Lt Gen Asim Bajwa said in a tweet about an update on the probe into the attack. And on the same day Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held a trilateral meeting with US Vice President Joe Biden and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in Davos and discussed with them efforts for peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan. The meeting, on the sidelines of the 46th World Economic Forum, reviewed the progress made so far and pondered on the way forward.

So, the Charssada University tragedy is being used to further the American agenda yet again, exploiting Pakistan's immense capabilities to strengthen foreign hegemony. Previously, America exploited Pakistan’s army, rich resources, brave people and ingenuity to help the Afghan Mujahiddeen defeat the Soviet Russians. Later, the US collaborated with Pakistan’s elite to support the Taliban to foster stability in Afghanistan and act as a conduit for the transportation oil and gas from Central Asia. Then under Musharraf, it used Pakistan's resources to ensure American military occupation of Afghanistan.

And today, America is conniving with the Raheel-Nawaz regime to confront the Afghan resistance military, whilst working with its puppet government in Kabul to find political and legal cover for its continued presence on the doorstep of the world's only Muslim nuclear power.

Allah (ta’ala) has ordered that enemies are taken as an enemy,

يَا أَ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَتَّخِذُوا عَدُوِّي وَعَدُوَّكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ تُلْقُونَ إِلَيْهِمْ بِالْمَوَدَّةِ وَقَدْ كَفَرُوا بِمَا جَاءَكُمْ مِنْ الْحَقِّ

“O you who believe! Choose not My enemies who are your enemies as friends showing them affection even when they disbelieve in that truth that has come to you” [Surah Mumtahina 60:1]

Were the rulers of Pakistan and Afghanistan sincere to Muslims they would treat America as an enemy. They would eradicate the colonialist-imposed Durand Line that divides and weakens the Muslim. And they would ensure the ruling by Islam which is the guarantor of protection for the Muslims. Clearly they will not do so as they are steeped in slavery to America. It is upon the Muslims of Afghanistan and Pakistan to end their Kufr rule through the re-establishment of the Khilafah "Caliphate" state upon the method of the Prophethood.
