Saudi Arabia and Turkey are Two Regimes Whose True Nature was Revealed by the Syrian Revolution
(Translated)
By Ustadh Shaadi Al Aboud

After Allah (swt) bestowed a great victory on the people of ash-Sham over the tyrant Assad, which was a historic event in every sense of the word, the rulers stood in bewilderment, closely watching what was happening in the land of ash-Sham.

Today, after about two months, have passed since the fall of the criminal Bashar, we see how political delegations are coming one after the other, from every direction, to meet with the transitional phase administration led by Ahmed al-Sharaa, to understand his orientations and vision regarding the future of the new Syria. At the same time, the delegations present their projects and negotiate with him on several files, whether on the political level in terms of the system of government and framing the constitution, or on the economic level and the reconstruction file, lifting the economic sanctions and raising the low standard of living with the launch of infrastructure projects, as well as on the security level, holding accountable the criminals who participated in killing the Syrian people, providing security and safety for the people of ash-Sham, and forming a unified army for the new Syria. We must not forget the education, health, energy, development sectors, and many other files, that in reality constitute great challenges and difficulties that are not easy at all.

The outlines of the future Syria of the new administration can be discerned from statements made by its Foreign Minister Al-Shaibani in several places, including his interview with the Financial Times, where he revealed the government’s vision for a post-Assad Syria, stressing that the country “don’t want to live off aid,” and that the solution lies in easing American and European sanctions, and that the government does not plan to export the revolution, or interfere in the affairs of other countries, in a reference to a radical change in foreign policy. He also indicated in the same interview the intention to privatize state-owned ports, and industries, to attract foreign investment.

As part of the new administration’s attempt to achieve this vision by strengthening its political and economic relations at the Arab and regional levels, in an effort to lift the heavy sanctions, last week Ahmed Al-Sharaa and his Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani made their first official visit to Saudi Arabia. They discussed with Bin Salman the events in Syria and about the extending of a helping hand to support its security and stability. One of the most important files discussed was the economic file, as Al-Sharaa explained in a statement, “We worked to raise the level of communication and cooperation in all areas, especially the humanitarian and economic, as we discussed extensive future plans in the fields of energy, technology, education and health to reach together a real partnership aimed at preserving peace and stability in the entire region and improving the economic reality of the Syrian people.”

Al-Shaibani expressed his admiration for Saudi Vision 2030 at the Davos conference, noting that it can be used as a model for the future of Syria. In the same context, Ali Kaddah, who holds the position of Minister of Interior, stated, “We are keen to benefit from Saudi Vision 2030, and we look forward to Syria being the focus of attention for Saudi investors. President Al-Sharaa’s visit to Saudi Arabia is a new starting point for relations, and he will discuss the economic situation during his visit to Saudi Arabia, in addition to the reconstruction file, which is on President Al-Sharaa’s agenda in Saudi Arabia.”

After visiting Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Al-Sharaa continued his political tour to Turkey after an invitation he received from Erdogan. Presidential leaks revealed the signing of a Joint-Defense agreement, which includes the establishment of Turkish air bases in central Syria, and the training of the new Syrian army. According to Reuters, the Joint-Defense agreement included several points, including, the agreement may allow Turkey to establish new air bases in Syria, use Syrian airspace for military purposes and assume a leading role in training the new Syrian army. The discussions indicated that they may include the establishment of two Turkish bases in the Syrian desert, and that these bases will allow Turkey to defend Syrian airspace, in the event of any future attacks. Regarding their location, it indicated that the expected bases may be established at the Tadmur Military Airport and the T4 Airbase.

Of course, the Saudi regime’s connection to the criminal America is not hidden from the observers. The Saudi regime cannot move a finger without its orders. America used the Saudi regime to confront the people of ash-Sham, and their blessed revolution, as its poisoned support and the money it provided were a rope that almost strangled the revolution and its people. This is not to mention the support of the Saudi regime for the conspiracy conferences whose goals were to liquidate the revolution of ash-Sham, and lead it to the bosom of the criminal regime. From here, it is necessary to warn against the Saudi regime, with which coordination is taking place again. It is necessary to warn against opening the door for the Saudi regime to enter in the name of economic projects and reconstruction, so that the future of Syria is not shackled and exposed to pressures to submit to what America wants.

As for the role of the Turkish regime, it is not hidden from anyone. Anyone who follows the past stage has clearly seen how its policy was leading the revolution towards normalization, and reconciliation with the criminal regime, openly and in broad daylight, in an effort to implement UN Resolution 2254. America drew up UN Resolution 2254 as a solution to eliminate the revolution in Syria, and preserve the criminal regime in Damascus.

Today, after the fall of the criminal regime, we see the Turkish regime addressing to the new administration and trying to direct and pressurize it.  This is so that it does not deviate from the line that America wants for Syria, after Assad, which is for Syria to be a secular state, in which there is no place for Islam and its Dawah, whilst the door is left open for the advocates of secularism, and its men, in their quest to be the men of the new regime, after polishing them, and promoting them in the media and politically.

A few days ago, the Turkish Foreign Minister stated after his visit to Qatar, “My discussions in Qatar addressed the developments in Syria and Palestine, lifting international sanctions imposed on Syria, and establishing security.” He added that, “we have no room for terrorism in Syria.” If we look at the content of this statement in addition to the terms of the Joint-Defense agreement, we find a clear integration in the goal that the Turkish regime is pursuing in serving America's interests in the region, which is fighting the Islamic project and its advocates under the banner of “terrorism,” and officially legitimizing its presence in Syria within the Joint-Defense agreement, and thus keeping its forces, and even supplying them with air bases, so that they can tighten the noose on the people of ash-Sham, and for the new Syrian army to be under its watch, preparing and training it as it wants.

Finally, it is a must to remember that Allah (swt) has honored us and granted us victory, after exposing to us during the years of the revolution the enemy from the friend. We have seen nothing from these regimes in the Muslim countries, throughout the years of the revolution, but deceit, tricks and conspiracy against our revolution. The basic principle is to be wary of them, while strengthening our relationship with the One Who has bestowed favor upon us, in what we have reached today, which is Allah (swt). So we thank Him for His victory that He has honored us with, without any favor from any country.

We must increase our thanks and praise to Him, so that we carry Islam as a project of salvation for the people of ash-Sham and the entire world. This is so that He (swt) may increase our success and companionship in establishing His law on earth, so that Islam may be the alternative system that we establish on the ruins of the defunct regime. This is so that justice may be established among the people, rights may be preserved, and the sacrifices of the people of ash-Sham may be honored. We should not forget to mention that popular support base is the one with the authority, and is the best force after Allah (swt), from which the ruler derives his strength and legitimacy. So the popular support defends him in the most difficult and intense situations. Allah (swt) is watching how we act. Do we seek His Pleasure and implement His Shariah Law? Or do we seek the pleasure of the colonialist countries and agents, and respond to their calls to establish a secular, national state, that pleases the West and angers Allah (swt)?
