Muslim women hold demonstration at Uzbekistan Embassy in London

On Saturday 20th December 2008, the women's chapter of Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain convened a demonstration in London. Over a hundred and fifty Muslim women demonstrated outside the Uzbekistan embassy to protest at the brutal Karimov regime's sexual molestation of Muslim women arrested for alleged ‘religious extremism' - the latest campaign against those who speak out against its tyranny and oppression.

Demonstrators pledged to keep campaigning to expose the regime and called for the return of the Islamic Khilafah "Caliphate" to those lands, to liberate the region from dictatorships, safeguard the honour of women and end the collusion with foreign powers in their 'war on terror'.
