Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan held its Ummah Issues Forum titled: Recent Legal Amendments ... An Enlightened Vision based on Islam.

The main speakers included Ustaadh Hatem Ja’far Ibrahim (lawyer) - Member of the Wilayah Council of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan,  and Ustaadh Ibrahim Othman (Abu Khalil) - Official Spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah of Sudan, who spoke of the Transitional Government's abolition for a number of laws on the pretext that they restrict freedoms, and said: By looking at the Official Gazette No. 1904 issued on Monday 7/13/2020, we find that the amendments to the laws (35 amendments to the criminal law, and 3 amendments to the criminal procedure law, One article in the Parties Law, 5 articles in the National Security Law, one in the Traffic Law, 3 articles in the Passports and Immigration Law, two articles in the Public Prosecution Law, and 34 articles in the Law on Information Crime Prevention, a new law called the Law of the Commission for the Reform of the Legal and Justice System of 2020).
