With the guidance of the Ameer of Hizb ut Tahrir, Eminent Scholar Ata Bin Khalil Abu al-Rashtah, may Allah protect him, Hizb ut Tahrir has launched a global campaign marking the 100 years in the Hijri calendar since the destruction of the Khilafah State (Caliphate), 28 Rajab Muharram 1442 AH / 2021 CE, and on this page we will cover the activities organized by Hizb ut Tahrir / Tanzania as part of the global campaign launched by Hizb ut Tahrir.

Events for the 1st Week of Rajab 1442 AH

Hizb ut Tahrir / Tanzania organized the second week's activities, carrying out various activities in several regions.

01 Rajab 1442 Hijri corresponding to 13 February 2021 CE, members of Hizb ut Tahrir / Tanzania held picketing events in several regions to officially launch the campaign titled, “Centenary of the Destruction of the Khilafah;” the destruction that took place in Rajab 1342 Hijri / March 1924 CE.

Before that, on Friday 30 Jumada al-Akhir using Friday platforms, they addressed audiences in various mosques with a nationwide message to publicize this globally campaign.

Among areas where the campaign was launched yesterday were: Dar es Salaam, outside of Masjid Kichangani (Magomeni) Masjid Mtoro (Kariakoo), Masjid Idrisa (Kariakoo) and Masjid Nuru, Mbande, Mbagala.

Zanzibar at Masjids of Mchangani and Mbuyuni (Zanzibar Town), Masjid Qatar Chake Chake, (Pemba Island) as well as some prominent Mosques at Mwanza and Tanga regions.

Pickets were held with short talks reminding Muslims of the bitterness and catastrophic situation the Ummah suffers from the loss of Khilafah, of the Sharia obligation upon the Ummah to work to reestablish it, as well calling upon them to march with Hizb ut Tahrir in working with and supporting it, since is capable of truly liberating the Ummah through Islam.

Weekly live Facebook programme: On 19 Rajab 1442 AH – 3 March 2021 CE, a panel of 2 Shabs had Facebook live programme in which they conveyed the theme of campaign as well as receiving comments and questions from the audience.

Island TV: Two of Shabs of Hizb ut Tahrir in Kenya appeared weekly in this private TV program in Zanzibar aired campaign thoughts.

Radio: Two Shabs had an opportunity at Chuchu Fm, Zanzibar in which partially aired thoughts of the second week. (21 Rajab 1442 AH - 4 March 2021 CE)

 

VISITS

Three visits were made all in Dar es Salaam:

In Dar es Salaam on 20 Rajab 1442 AH – 4 March 2021 CE, the Head of Central Contact Committee of Hizb ut Tahrir / Tanzania Sheikh Mussa Kileo visited an Imam of Lindi Street Mosque, one of the prominent mosque in Dar es Salaam city centre.

Also on 19 and 20 Rajab 1442 AH, Members of Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Kenya visited some journalists working with Islamic newspapers, TV and radio.

Visit at Public Places

This was made in various places such as, Mwanakwerekwe, Zanzibar, Mbande, Mbagala Dar es Salaam reminding public on issue of Bishara of Khilafah as Aqeedah issue as well as Sharia obligation upon them of reestablish it.

 

 

Seminar

A seminar was held on 22 Rajab 1442 AH at Machimbo, Tandika that brought together some religious figures such as Ustadhs and Sheikhs of local area reminding them on issue of Khilafah, obligation of its re-establishment as well as Bishara of its coming.

 

Madrassa Competition

The Question and answers Madrasa Competition took place at Fuoni Michenzani, Zanzibar on 23 Rajab / 07 March 2021 CE that involved 7 madrassas. At the end, a talk was made on issue of Khilafah destruction, Bishara of it, and obligation upon students of madrassa, their teachers and Ummah as whole to work on it.

 

While we conclude this noble campaign, we pray to Allah Taala for His Tawfiq on these activities and others throughout the world. In Him we trust for His Nusra of the reestablishment of Second Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate). Ameen
