Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah of Yemen: Ramadhan Activities
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In a press release (Arabic) issued by the Media Office of Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah of Yemen, the activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Yemen in the blessed month of Ramadhan were outlined.
The press release mentioned that Hizb ut-Tahrir had organised many meetings, seminars, talks and lectures throughout the month of Ramadhan in the various provinces and cities of Yemen including Sanaa, Hadramaut, Amran and Ta'izz. Activists from Hizb ut-Tahrir draped the cities in posters, organised cars with loudspeakers and hosted hundreds of participants at talks and lectures. The events were attended by leading religious and tribal leaders. Leading members of the party delivered lessons after Salat al-Jumua in large mosques which were attended by thousands of people in which they were reminded of the great obligation to re-establish the Islamic Caliphate.
Following all of these events, on the 19th of Ramadhan 1429 Hijri, the President of Yemen, was forced to address the issue of the Caliphate in a speech in the city of Al-Hudaydah and later at a speech at the American Embassy. In the speech, after speaking about so-called 'terrorism', the President criticised those who call for the Caliphate and said that the advocates of the Caliphate would not deal with the West or foreign banks, would close ports and airports and would prevent the importation of goods from foreign nations.
The press release ended by praying that Allah (swt) makes Yemen the focal point of the soon to return Islamic Caliphate so that the banner of Al-Okab will flutter in the mountains, valleys and plains of Yemen.
