The activities of the Khartoum Arab Film Festival, in its second round, was opened in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, on Friday lasting for five days, through which about 34 films will be shown. The Minister of State at the Sudanese Ministry of Culture, Syed Harun, said that the aim of the festival is to move the recession that hit the film industry
In the darkness on Monday night 29/08/2016, the political police returned once again to vandalize the main office of the Hizb ut Tahrir situated on the Sakkarah Aryanah intersection. They tore up the banner of the Hizb which had been put up on the roof of the building and that was second time this happened after they had torn it up on Sunday night 14/08/2016.
The Party (for Freedom) PVV led by Geert Wilders has published a document including its election manifesto for the 2017-2021 term. The document announced its intention to prevent the acceptance of refugees from Islamic countries, to ban the Khimar (headscarf) in civil service, ban all Islamic symbols contrary to the public system, have preventative detention of radical Muslims, closing of all Masajid and Islamic schools, and the banning of the Qur’an.
