Nearly 14.3 million Kenyans are expected to vote in the general elections on Monday, 4 March 2013. This election is the fifth to be held under the system of multi-party politics. There are critical issues that we in Hizb ut Tahrir / East Africa feel the need to elaborate:

The report titled "Globalizing Torture: CIA Extraordinary Rendition and Secret Detention" released by the Open Society Foundation (OSF) on Tuesday, 5 of February 2013, has clearly shown the involvement of dozens of Muslim countries such as Afghanistan, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Egypt, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Syria, Turkey, United Arab Emirates
