Muslims in America Connected to the Global Ummah

Alhamdulilah, Hizb ut Tahrir America concluded its annual Khilafah "Caliphate" conference entitled: "Muslims in America connected to the Global Ummah" on Sunday, 17 Shabaan 1435 AH corresponding to 15 June 2014, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The conference commenced with the beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran.  The conference theme highlights the importance of Muslim unity and the role Muslims in America can play in achieving global Muslim Unity.  The conference program contained four speeches followed by a keynote speech. The first speech addressed the question of what is the Islamic Identity. The second speech addressed the legacy of Islam in America and how Muslims can fulfill their legacy.  The third speech addressed the growing sense of unity in the Muslim World, the shape it will take, and the role the Muslims in America can play in working for it. The fourth speech clearly defined what Shari'a Law is and how it should be correctly viewed. It allayed fears and concerns about Shari'a Law. The keynote speech maintained that the Muslims in America  have global connection of the Muslim Ummah. The conference was concluded by a Question & Answer panel. Speakers answered questions from the members of the audience. The conference concluded with a duaa.
