Population Census in Myanmar and the UN-backed Criminal Conspiracy To wipe out the 1.3 million Rohingya Muslims from the map!

Hizb ut Tahrir voices outrage at the United Nations backing for Myanmar's census in the current climate of fear and intimidation. By backing the biased census of Myanmar's population, the first of its kind since 30 years undertaken by President Thein Sein, the United Nations has allowed itself to be used as a tool in the ongoing genocide against the Muslim Rohingyas. Presidential spokesperson Ye Htut told reporters on the 29th of March that, "If a household wants to identify themselves as ‘Rohingya,' we will not register it," and added that such a household may register instead as "Bengali". Myanmar does not recognize Myanmar's estimated 1.3 million Rohingya as an ethnic group, and does not consider them as citizens. Myanmar discriminates actively against the Rohingya, and Buddhist mobs, with government blessing, engage in pogroms of destruction and murder.

Hizb ut Tahrir inquire: "How can any census about ethnicity be valid when the very existence of the Muslim Rohingyas is denied by Myanmar's Government?" Hizb ut Tahrir warns: "This census will make the acts of slaughter and murder official, what Buddhist mobs have been doing at the point of spears and hatchets since President Thein Sein's democratic reforms gave the green light to genocide against the Muslim Rohingyas, namely, the obliteration of 1.3 million Rohingya."

The U.N. and the member states which support this census and applaud Myanmar's disastrous dalliance with democracy will be guilty of collusion with Myanmar's making the Rohingya disappear overnight, officially, on the 10th April when the current census is due to be completed!

We in Hizb ut Tahrir call upon the sincere Muslims in Bangladesh and the rest of the world to rise to their duty in supporting their brethren in Deen, and put an end to the horrific mass genocide committed by Myanmar's authorities. We emphasize here that this Ummah will not be defended rightfully and truly except by the Khilafah "Caliphate", and it is soon to be established, Inshaa Allah, and then those will learn and see who wronged and killed our Rohingya brothers all actions will be  overturned.

Finally, we address all who have an atom of faith in their heart and say: Do you not fear that your hearts are subject to the remembrance of Allah that descended with the truth? Work with Hizb ut Tahrir to establish the Khilafah "Caliphate" that would restore the Quran as the source of ruling, spreading justice and mercy in the world as a result of its implementation, and will relieve our people from Rohingya and other oppressed of injustice.
