Press Release
Iran Supports US-created regimes in Iraq and Afghanistan!
Two days after the New York Times reported that the Karzai government received funds from Iran, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Ramin Mehmanparast, confirmed that Iran had "offered great help ... to facilitate the stabilization of Afghanistan". The funds received by the Afghan President from Iran were said to be used ‘to buy off the loyalty of politicians, members of parliament, Afghan tribal elders and to sway some members of the Taliban'.
The statement from Iranian Foreign Ministry does not reveal a secret. Rather it is to "beautify" the Iranian regime's role in supporting the regimes set up by America in Iraq and Afghanistan, ever since their inception - logistically, militarily, politically and financially. It is not news, but a statement that accelerates the "normalization" of Iran-U.S relations, bringing into public Iran's role in facilitating U.S interests in Afghanistan and Iraq. A number of Iran's leaders have already spoken about Iran's role in supporting the American occupation in Afghanistan and Iraq, including former Defense Minister, Ali Shamkhani, and Chairman of the Expediency Discernment Council and former president, Hashemi Rafsanjani and Mohammad Ali Abtahi, former vice president, who said on 15/1/2004 at the (Gulf and Future Challenges Conference) that "America would have not been able to occupy Afghanistan and Iraq so easily without Iranian support".
The Baker-Hamilton report issued in 2006 called upon the American administration to adopt US-Iran "cooperation" in Afghanistan and in Iraq, which has effectively happened. When open security meetings were held between the Iranian and American officials, it was said that the goal of them was to "maintain the stability and security of Iraq"; but it was clear that they were to relieve pressure on the U.S occupation through strengthening the corrupt and puppet regime set up by America in Baghdad, in order to save America from the quagmire of Iraq.
Thus the Iranian regime provided security cooperation and encouraged the sectarian conflict, while the Syrian regime undertook the formation of Sahawat (Awakening Councils), and the engagement of ‘Sunni' Muslims in the political process.
The Obama administration seeks to emerge from the quagmire of Afghanistan, where they face increasing resistance. So, it has sought the help of the two puppet regimes in Pakistan and Iran to relieve the pressure on the U.S occupation, and to facilitate the political process, which it calls "national reconciliation" and "peaceful settlement". America hopes through this process to deceive the people of Afghanistan by changing the method of control from being an open military occupation to political, economic, security hegemony - a long-term military presence under the name of security conventions, together with consultants and training for the Afghan army and police. This is just as it did in Iraq, to the point that it started the formation of ‘The Council of Shura Members' copying the ‘The Awakening Councils' in Iraq.
The Iranian role in Afghanistan this month drew attention with their participation in the International Contact Group on 18/10/2010, where the transition process was discussed. Richard Holbrooke, U.S envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan said according to news agencies on 19.10.2010: ‘We acknowledge that Iran has a role to play in the peaceful settlement of the situation in Afghanistan' referring to the international efforts to achieve what he called "the stability of Afghanistan" - according to American interests, such that it established its hegemony and secures its interests, without the resistance that is exhausting it militarily, its personnel and financially, so undermining its international standing.
Hizb ut-Tahrir reminds the Muslim Ummah that Islam dictates the unity of the Muslims as one body. When an enemy attacks a Muslim land it's the duty of all Muslims to rise to repel him off. The Iranian regime can not go on in futile attempt to deceive the Ummah of the reality of Iranian role in serving the Americans' agenda. Much as the previous Tartars were defeated, America will be defeated despite the Muslim regimes support.
The Ummah has to realize the double face of the Iranian regime's policies, and work with us to restore the Khilafah "Caliphate".
