The crisis of the Rohingya Muslims worsened with reports of thousands of them being left afloat at the Andaman Sea by human trafficking syndicates in the past days. They reportedly travelled from their hidden transit in Thailand to seek shelter in Malaysia and Indonesia.

The State of Kelantan, led by Parti Islam se-Malaysia (PAS) has approved the amendments to the Kelantan Sharia Criminal Code (II) (1993) unanimously at its State Legislative Assembly on 19 March 2015.
