Democracy's Best Revenge- Sky-rocketing Petrol and Electricity Prices Electricity and Petrol are the Public Property of the Ummah which the Khilafah will Return to its Ownership

The people of Pakistan had not recovered from the devastating Baluchistan earthquake, yet the "people's democratic" Kayani-Sharif government went ahead and raised the prices of electricity and petrol to an unprecedented level, at the behest of the IMF and their American masters. These back-breaking rises are no less than an economic "drone attack" on households who are already drowning in rampant inflation and oppressive taxation. Thus both democracy and dictatorship will always suck the blood of the people to satisfy the colonialists and their institutions. Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Pakistan on 29th of March 2013 issued a leaflet with the title "The believer is not stung from the same hole twice". In this leaflet Hizb warned the people regarding the false hope in the 11th May 2013 General Elections, saying, "Muslims have not been stung merely twice, but countless times by the current system in Pakistan. Each time new faces come through coup or election, the people curse the old faces. However, only after a while, the new faces appear even uglier and more despised than the older faces." So, now, Hizb ut Tahrir again clarifies to the people, and the intellectuals in particular, that both democracy and dictatorship implement Capitalism which only serves the interests of the ruling class and their American masters.

Hizb ut Tahrir further assets that only the Khilafah "Caliphate" will liberate the people from relentless increases in the prices of electricity, gas and petrol, because in the Khilafah "Caliphate" these resources are public property whose benefit is for the public. This is in accordance to the Hadith of RasulAllah (saw) «المسلمون شرکاء فی ثلاث الماء والکلاء والنار» "Muslims are partners (associates) in three things: in water, pastures and fire (energy)" ]Abu Dawood[. Thus the Khilafah "Caliphate" can neither levy taxes from these public properties nor raise their prices such that they become a source of immense hardship, as occurs throughout the Muslim World under Capitalism. So, Hizb ut Tahrir calls the people to turn their faces away the kufr democratic Capitalist system and re-establish the Khilafah "Caliphate". Unless we do so, not only will our worldly life continue to be a source of misery and hardship, our Akhirah will also be ruined. Allah (swt) says:

[وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِى فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكاً وَنَحْشُرُهُ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيامَةِ أَعْمَىٰ]

"But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur'an nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection." [Surah Taha: 124[ And Hizb ut Tahrir demands from the sincere officers in the armed forces to rid the people of the mounting insecurity and economic misery they face. For the pleasure of Allah (swt), they must perform their duty to the Muslims, young and elderly, men and women. They must now grant the Nussrah to Hizb ut Tahrir under its Ameer, Sheikh Ata bin Khalil Abu al-Rashtah, for the immediate return of the Khilafah "Caliphate" to these Muslim Lands.
