The Sudanese Minister of Finance, Jibril Ibrahim, admitted that there is great pressure on the state budget for this year, which taxes and customs represent 75% of its total revenues. This prompted reduction on spending on basics such as health and education. He stressed the continuation of the economic reform program, through the gradual lifting of state subsidies on goods.
