The South Agreement is per American Instructions;
There is No Goodness in it for the People of Sudan!

On Sunday, August 5, 2018, the opposing factions in the South of Sudan signed an agreement for dividing the power and the levels of ruling. This agreement was signed by the government of the South of Sudan represented by the party of Salva Kiir Mayardit and the People’s Opposition Movement of Riek Machar. In addition, it was signed by the Confederation of Political Prisoners represented by Deng Alur in union with Gabriel Johnson, Political parties and forces represented by Joseph Okilo, National officials represented by Francis Deng, clergy represented by Mohamad Marjan, and the representative of the civil society organizations in the South of Sudan.

The Sudanese Government and its media advertised this agreement to be a success and victory for its intention.

Regarding this situation, we reveal the following facts:

Firstly: This agreement was neither a political intention nor a creation of the Khartoum regime. It is well known that maintaining peace in the South is one of the American instructions named the “Five Paths” which America set for the government to implement. Thus, the government is strongly and desperately implementing this bill that even some of the Southern Opposition Leaderships have announced that they have been threatened to participate in signing. The Opposition Union announced in its press release: “Some members of the Sudanese security force resorted to extreme terrorizing and pressure on the members of the Opposition Union in the South of Sudan in order to sign on the behalf of the union’s parties” (Sudan Tribune, 05/08/2018).

Secondly: The South of Sudan was part of these countries, but it was divided with the willpower of American and implemented by the Sudanese government. Separating the South was not for achieving peace or for stopping the war, as some would claim, but it was what the former Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour said in 13/04/2017: “Separating the South was originally a conspiracy which we have accepted, and what is happening now is the result of this conspiracy”, as he was addressing what the Russian Foreign Minister had said. President Al-Basheer confessed in his interview with the Russian website Sputnik, dated 25/11/2017, where he said: “The American pressure and the American conspiracy on Sudan are massive… and under the American pressures, the South of Sudan became separated… we have information now that the American goal is to divide Sudan into five countries…” This is the confession of Al-Basheer that the separation of the South was not the political intention of the government in order to achieve security and peace between all sides.

Thirdly: Whoever thinks that the South Agreement is good thinking that it will retrieve the petrol to run again and from there strengthen the economy, we should remind them that Sudan originally was a rich country, and the strength of the economy will require a correct political thought and a wise system maintaining these resources and bring it back to the people of the country. So, where did all the money gained from the petrol go since the extraction of the oil? Where did the money gained from the gold? And the Arabic gum? And the agricultural, animal, mineral, and other resources?! Therefore, the problem is in the corruption of the system and the rulers.

In conclusion: We in Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Sudan reassure to the good people of Sudan that nothing will stop the wars or achieve economic stability except through a political ability built on a rightly-guided system which brings back the Sultan who will implement the Sharia and manage the affairs of the people rightfully… This cannot occur except through the Khilafah Rashidah State (rightly guided Caliphate) upon the method of Prophethood, which Hizb ut Tahrir is working for and calls for its establishment in order to spread the good all around the world.
