Political Address at the Grand Port Sudan Market
"The Danger of Replacing the Rulings of Islam"

Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan held a political address today, 27th Rajab 1446 AH, corresponding to 27 January 2025 CE, at the Grand Port Sudan Market under the title: "Replacing the Rulings of Allah is a Great Danger and a Major Harm."

Ustaath Yaqub Ibrahim, a member of Hizb ut Tahrir, spoke about the necessity of establishing Allah’s rulings and implementing His Shariah in the state and society. He warned of the grave danger posed by altering any of these rulings, emphasizing that previous nations, when they replaced Allah’s commandments, were afflicted with calamities, destruction, and severe punishment.

He pointed out that ever since the Islamic Khilafah (Caliphate)—the state of Islam and Muslims—was abolished 104 years ago (Rajab 1342 AH - Rajab 1446 AH), the rulings of Sharia have been replaced. Consequently, Muslims were left with artificial, functional states that lack sovereignty and fail to address problems. Instead, these states implement the systems of colonial powers, such as democracy, secularism, and both civil and military governance, along with other man-made systems.

He further stressed that the duty of Muslims today is to establish their own state, the Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate), that enforces Sharia law and transforms the current situation into a better one.

During the interactive segment, there was a large turnout, and the audience followed the address with great interest. The event received widespread support, with one attendee expressing encouragement, stating that he regularly follows these addresses and had previously attended similar events in the city of Al-Qadarif and now in Port Sudan, praised these efforts in enlightening the Ummah and urging it to establish its Deen through the revival of the Khilafah Rashidah upon the method of the Prophethood.
