The Increase in Prices... Causes... Outcomes and Solutions Seminar
(Translated)

Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah Sudan held a seminar titled: "The Increase in Prices... Causes... Outcomes and Solutions" in the city of al-Qadarif in East Sudan. The seminar was attended by a large gathering of the people of Sudan, and leaders of political and social work, the federation of trades union of al-Qadarif filled the conference hall. The invitation was also extended to local government and municipalities, ministries, Imams of mosques, businessmen, tribal leaders, and party, groups, school, university, and bank heads, as well as lawyers and the directors of departments and the Zakat Bureau, among others.

The economic researcher Professor Sulayman al-Dasisi, Professor Bulla Mahmoud Abdelraheem, and Engineer al-Bashir Ahmad al-Bashir Taha all spoke at the seminar.

Professor Sulayman al-Dasisi relayed in his paper the real roots that sprouted the crisis of the increase in prices, and detailed the causes that lead to the crushing price hikes that are afflicting the people of Sudan.

Professor Bulla Mahmoud relayed the outcomes that resulted from the crisis of the increase in prices, and its dimensions on the level of households, and on the level of the economy, then the effects that resulted from the price hikes on the level of society.

And in the final paper, Engineer al-Bashir Taha offered real solutions to the crisis, clarifying how Islam solved these types of problems.

A number of attendees contributed questions and commentary, believing in what was suggested, and certain that not adhering to the laws of Islam is the cause that lead to the price hikes. They urged the leaders of Hizb ut Tahrir to present these successful solutions to the state so they could be adopted to radically solve the economic problem. Likewise they commended what was put forth, and called for more of these types of seminars to enlighten the people with the clear truth.
