The Police Forcefully Disperses a Dialogue Session for Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan
(Translated)

On Sunday, 18/05/2014 CE, the local police of Omdurman broke up a dialogue session organized by Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan, in the center of the Martyrs' Square, after an hour of its onset, and after people gathered around the session interacting with the Hizb's Shabab, eager to learn of the ideas and the rulings of Islam. The police intervened by force to break up the dialogue session, and dragged the Shab Ihab Alnkhali, who is in charge of the management of the session, to their offices for interrogation.

We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan, regarding this incident, indicate the following:

First: Hizb ut Tahrir has dedicated itself since its inception, to be a fire that burns corruption, and light that shines the path of righteous, culturing the Ummah with what is hidden from it of the rulings of Islam in its political and economic life and all other aspects of life. It takes the methodology of the Prophet (saw) in stating the truth through the political work and challenging with intellectual argument, as its method.

Second: This work that the police have prevented by force; inviting people to comply with the rulings of Islam and to work for the resumption of Islamic life, is one of the greatest works to Allah the Almighty, Who says:

(وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ قَوْلاً مِمَّنْ دَعَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَقَالَ إِنَّنِي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ)

"And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, ‘Indeed, I am of the Muslims.'" [Fussilat: 33[.

Third: The call to Islam, wherever it is does not need permission from anyone; Allah the Almighty has authorized it. He has commanded and obligated the carrying of its message. The Almighty says:

(ادْعُ إِلَى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ وَجَادِلْهُمْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ ضَلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ)

"Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided." [An-Nahl: 125]

Hizb ut Tahrir did not depart a fingertip from this Divine method, so why it is prevented from calling to the Deen of Allah and the arbitration of His Rulings?!!

Fourth: The basis for police is to safeguard the rights of the people, to protect them, their properties and their honors, and to address what threatens the security of the country and the people. It is not to muzzle the mouths of Muslims from saying the word of truth, and avert them from the way of Allah, and if it does then there is no obedience to it, as the obedience is to Allah alone. RasulAllah (saw) said,

«لا طَاعَةَ لِمَخْلُوقٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ» "No obedience for a creation in the disobedience of Allah the Almighty." (Musnad Ahmad).

Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan has worked under all conditions and circumstances; the warm and the cold, not frightened by the oppression of the tyrants, or the strike of the oppressors. It is determined to continue its march to establish Allah's Law on earth, and unite this Ummah under the Khilafah "Caliphate" State, the coming soon, Allah willing. Then those who have wronged are going to know to what kind of return they will be returned.
