Concept of Nationalism Further Exposed
Order made by late Aboud Jumbe, former president of Zanzibar and Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, died last week at the age of 96, on how his burial ceremony should be performed has further shown the evil of concept of nationalism in the eyes of everyone.
Despite the late Jumbe once held high positions in United Republic and in Zanzibar Government, he gave the final order to be buried in a flagless coffin without any state signpost in his burial ceremony underscoring not want in his funeral to be manifested by any kind of Kufru (blasphemy).
The stance of the deceased has a profound lesson to all Muslims, be politicians, intellectuals and ordinary persons on the grave sin of concept of ‘nationalism’ which is forbidden by clear cut evidence in Islam.
We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Tanzania remind Muslims and non-Muslims once again, that despite the notions of nationalism being prohibited in Islam, it is also a colonial fatal weapon to colonize and divide Muslims and mankind in general.
