The Arrest of Fathi Arous in Kerkennah on Charges of Supporting Gaza!
(Translated)

On Friday,19/1/2024, one of the security teams on the island of Kerkennah arrested Brother Fathi Arous from his home after he delivered a speech that day in front of the island’s mosque in the Al-Ataya area about the necessity of supporting Gaza and its people!!

Accordingly, the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Tunisia announces the following:

1- Hizb ut Tahrir denounces the repeated arrests of its members by the security services, and considers them a disgrace against the authorities.

Has the call to support Gaza, the reminder of the words of Allah (swt), and showing the duty dictated by Shariah law to fight the Jews and support the Muslims who are being exterminated in front of the eyes and ears of the world, not to mention the betrayal of the rulers of the Muslims, now require the regime to arrest the believing men who do not refrain from addressing the people of power with the Islamic call?

The authority in Tunisia claims to stand with the people of Gaza, but it does not stop arresting the members of Hizb ut Tahrir, whose voices speaks loud with the truth, calling on the armies to move to stop the bloodshed in Palestine.

2- The party demands the immediate release of Fathi Arous, and to end any persecution of members of Hizb ut Tahrir in Kerkennah, so that they can continue their work for the benefit of Islam and Muslims.

3- The arrest of members of Hizb ut Tahrir will not deter them from carrying out the duty and honour that Allah has bestowed upon them, in calling for the support of the Ummah’s armies to move to support the people of Gaza. They are steadfast, with Allah’s will and strength, like anchored mountains, on the path of the Messenger of Allah (saw) in establishing the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) through intellectual and political struggle, no matter what is the level of oppression.

Those who disagree with them will not harm them because it is an obligation from Allah (swt) and obedience to Him is obligatory. It is enough of a disgrace for this regime to claim to support Gaza, while a word of truth uttered by a member from Hizb ut Tahrir shakes its foundations, and leads him to the judicial chambers on false charges that were not sent stipulated by Allah!
