Here is Tunisia the Land of Zaiytouna
No Place for Drugs neither in it nor for Such Rulers
(Translated)

Al Baji Caid Essebsi, President of Tunisia, on 30/12/2015 announced the government's intention to propose the revision of Law No. 52 on combating drugs calling for not punishing drug users. Al Baji justified his request and the request to his government to review the drugs law as a "response to the privacy of some cases and taking into account the positions of youth and student and looking after their future."

The announcement came after an unyielding media campaign led by a number of senior officials in the state and the ruling party with support from some media outlets, calling for not punishing drug users for the first time.

A senior state official justified the defense of this government initiative by saying "the frustration experienced by the young people of Tunisia after seeing their bleak future, leaves them with only this option, which is to climb the Chambi Mountain or immigration in death boats to Europe or self-immolation."

Mr. President:

Is looking after the future of our students by facilitating their road to drugs?!

Will the Tunisian youth recover from despair and frustration by taking drugs?!

And who caused the frustration experienced by our young people? And who pushed them to death by either drowning in the sea or burning themselves with fire? Is it not your “wise” government and your “leading” party?

Mr. President:

You came out at the beginning of a new year assuring the people of Tunisia of major reforms in 2016, so the first of your "glad-tidings" to the Muslims in Tunisia is that you encourage their children to take drugs!!

Mr. President:

You defend fiercely the State of "modernity" established by Bourguiba and "proclaim" that you will pursue and maintain its gains. So we find ourselves in a country that sells wine and permits it, and organize public prostitution and brothels and its media defends prostitution, adultery, homosexuality, and builds its economy on prohibited usury and forces Muslims to use it.

And plunges the country into deadly debts and surrenders its wealth to the colonizers and make its security in the hands of its enemy and its soldiers and officers as servants, spying for NATO.

O Government:

You committed all prohibited action by Allah (swt) in His Book, and facilitated all roads for corruption. First you rejected Islam and removed it from organizing the lives of Muslims. Then you subjected yourselves to the International Monetary Fund, obeying every command, and immersed the country in usurious deadly debts and exhausted people with taxes, and you surrendered all the country’s wealth to the colonial companies. And you have made the country a field for foreign intelligence and closed your eyes, and you harassed the people of the country by spying on them and raiding their houses ... and you have made the country's security in the hands of Britain, the number one enemy of the Muslims...

O Muslims:

Is this a government or a heap of humiliation? This is a government of disability and immorality, prohibiting what Allah has permitted and permits what Allah has forbidden in His Book. And it is satisfied with the spread of immorality among and it hands you over to your enemy. This is a government that Allah (swt) vowed its likes of torment in His saying:

[إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَن تَشِيعَ الْفَاحِشَةُ فِي الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ]

“Indeed, those who like that immorality should be spread [or publicized] among those who have believed will have a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah knows and you do not know” [An-Noor: 19]

Do you obey them and disobey your Lord? Are you satisfied to be governed with such rulers? And they become your lords instead of Allah (swt)? And Allah has warned you in His Noble Book by saying:

[اتَّخَذُوا أَحْبارَهُمْ وَرُهْبانَهُمْ أَرْباباً مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ...]

“They have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allah” [At-Tawba: 31]

When Uday Bin Hatem came to the Prophet (saw) before his conversion to Islam and when he heard the verse:

[اتَّخَذُوا أَحْبارَهُمْ وَرُهْبانَهُمْ أَرْباباً مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ...]

“They have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allah” [At-Tawba: 31]

‘Adi said (He was a Christian): We did not worship them, the Prophet (saw) said:

«أَلَيْسَ يُحَرِّمُونَ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ فَتُحَرِّمُونَهُ وَيُحِلُّونَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ فَتَسْتَحِلُّونَهُ؟»

“Didn’t they forbid what Allah has permitted and you followed them, and permitted what Allah has forbidden and you followed them?” ‘Adi said: Yes, He (saw) said:

«فَتِلْكَ عِبَادَتُهُمْ»

“This is their worship”.

O Muslims:

Allah (swt) commands that you worship him alone and do not associate anyone with Him. Allah (swt) says:

وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَسُولًا أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاجْتَنِبُوا الطَّاغُوتَ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ هَدَى اللَّهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الضَّلَالَةُ فَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ

“And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship Allah and avoid Taghut."

And among them were those whom Allah guided, and among them were those upon whom error was [deservedly] decreed. So proceed through the earth and observe how was the end of the deniers” [An-Nahl: 36]

O Muslims:

Verily we do not want you to suffer the fate of the rejecters, for you are not rejecters of the Messenger of Allah (saw) but you are believers in what Allah has revealed and we see you keen in the worship of your Lord, know that the worship of Allah is by establishing Islam and organizing your life by it in all public and private spheres. Allah’s command to you to implement Islam is a mercy and the solution to all your problems; by Islam alone you will be liberated from the colonizer and regain your wealth and stop the intelligence from meddling in your country. The economic policy of Islam will get you out of poverty and humiliation. And the education policy of Islam will save your sons and your schools will become beacons for guidance not for drug addicts graduates, but for graduate inventors, scientists and exceptional leaders.

O Muslims

We in Hizb ut Tahrir invite you to work with us to uproot colonization of our country and the removal of the capitalist democratic system, and to the establishment of Islam and the establishment of the righteous Khilafah "Caliphate" on the method of Prophethood.

O people of power in our country, O People of pride!

Today we address you, calling on your bravery and pride:

Do you accept that corruption prevails in your country while you watch?! Do you like the spread of immorality in your children? Such rulers take over your country and sell it and surrender it to our enemy and you are the people of power who are able to stop them and remove them as you who are able to protect the country?!

You have been silent for long over these rulers, so they thought they will remain firm capable and permanent, and they thought through such policies they will be able to anesthetize the people of Tunisia like the people of Latin America and the people of South Asia. But this is not the case.

Tunisia, the land of Zaiytouna the maker of men, here where Islam and Muslims and its civilization is deeply rooted in the depths of history.

In Tunisia, here are men eager for the glory and there is no glory except by Islam nor there is elevation, nor life except under the state that raises the banner of the Messenger of Allah (saw) flying high.
