The Government proposes a Draft Law to Parliament that surrenders our Land to our Enemy
(Translated)

On 5/1/2016, the House of Representatives office received a draft law on the compensation to the American embassy and American School for the damages suffered by them due to the events of September 2012. The Government’s proposed law states the compensation to the embassy with a financial value of $ 5.4 million (10.8 million dinars) and the compensation to the American School of 1848 million dollars (3.6 million dinars). And to give them ownership of land with that exceeds 2 hectares, the bill also includes customs exemptions.

Nizar Amama, a member of Parliament and of the Finance Committee of the Morocco Newspaper said that "The Commission will review on Thursday, 7/1/2016, the basic draft law on the memorandum of compensation pending its presentation to the general session. And the Council Office will contact the head of the government to attend the next meeting of the office to view the reasons for submission the memorandum in the form of a basic law. "

We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Tunisia have openly cautioned the president and the prime minister in May 2015 when there were the leaks of the official talks to give America ownership of a land that exceeds an area of 20,000 m² as compensation for the damages caused during the events of the American Embassy in Tunisia in 2012. We warned the president and the government to the seriousness of giving away the land of Tunisia, forsaking an inch of our land is as forsaking it all, and that it is a betrayal to Allah (swt), His Prophet (saw), the owners of the land, and all the Ummah. And we hoped at the time that the government and the presidency will be wiser and not get involved in compromising an inch of the soil of Tunisia.

But we received news these days that confirm that this government is not deterred and it continues proceeding with the basic project of ‘betrayal’ to give ownership of a piece of precious Tunisia to America, the state of crime and terrorism (and the first enemy of the Muslims in the world, that killed - in Iraq alone - a million of our children) and in passing this treason and forsaking of the land, the MPs in the parliament will legitimize it constitutionally; which means that the government is aware of the seriousness of its proposal, and therefore it does not want to get involved in it alone, but want to implicate the "People's representatives", so that no one can say that the government alone has forsaken the land but that it is (falsely) the will of the people!

Day after day, this government confirms that it will not refuse a request by the colonizers, but that it is in its service; it has forsaken the country's wealth and its resources, and bowed to the orders of America, and placed our soldiers under NATO’s command and made Tunisia’s security under the management of Britain. It offering the country’s properties for sale or foreclosure; it does not see any harm in giving a piece of land for free as a token of loyalty and obedience.

Our worst fears today is that it gets the MPs’ approval in their council on this crime as they did previously, when they approved its corrupt laws that have compounded the country's crisis: it increased poverty, and unemployment, and failed to stop the deterioration of health services and the high cost of living and transport services...

The compromising of an inch of our dear land- under any name – is like forsaking it all, which is a great offense and betrayal, not backing down on this proposal confirms the depth of involvement of politicians in their subordination and loyalty to the colonizers. And this confirms their obvious inability to protect the country and the people of the country. This is a situation where accountability is not enough, but it requires the people of the country to rise and put to trial all those who colluded and accepted to hand over our land to the enemy and proposed this treacherous draft law or approved it in the parliament or was a party in its discussion to amend it or was calling for it. What is the difference between them and those who have forsaken Al-Aqsa Mosque for the Jews? Isn’t all Muslim land the same?

Allah (swt) says:

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا لَا تَخُونُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ وَتَخُونُوا أَمَانَاتِكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ]

“O You who have believed, do not betray Allah, His Messenger, and your Trusts, while you Know” [Al-Anfal: 27]
