Regarding the Protests Events in Tunisia
(Translated)

The recent events, which began days ago in Kasserine and then were followed by protest from other cities, reveals the neglect of the regime in taking a dignified care of the people’s affairs, that Islam obliges, through justice and kindness; we have seen and continue to see the injustice of the regime in its false promises, marginalization and improper care for the public well-being.

Regarding these events, it is important to clarify the following:

1. We consider the accountability of the rulers in their negligence and ill-care on the one hand and the people demanding their rights on the other hand is a duty and required by the Sharia, so we stand behind these events as long as they maintain their political character and not turn into riots and acts of violence.

2. The unemployment, tight-living situation, ill-care and the corruption of those in charge of the regime, and the bribery, nepotism and opportunism, etc., are only a manifestation of the application of the false corrupt capitalist system, contrary to the Islamic creed, and Allah the Great is the Truth, where He (swt) says:

[ومَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَنْ ذِكْرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنْكًا وَنَحْشُرُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَعْمَى]

“And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind” [Taha: 124]

3. This regime has put Islam behind its back and dived into the arms of the Kaffir colonizer West and became satisfied with its instructions, boasting that Tunisia has been praised by international organizations and Western countries. However it forgot that those organizations and countries were only praising their system, and what they planned for our country is to serve the interests of its companies which only came to our country and other Muslim countries to exploit our wealth and utilizes the energies of our sons.

O People in Tunisia,

Do not be fooled by crumbs and patchwork solutions that are offered to you, for they are only sedatives and distractions; if they succeed, its purpose is to alleviate some of your pain for some time and then returns soon to its origin. And know that the great Islam with its just Shariah law emanating from its pure creed, alone, is the guarantor to satisfy the basic needs of individuals and society. Shariah alone is the guarantor for the elimination of poverty, unemployment and corruption, through a State that implements it; where the ruler genuinely looks after the affairs of people, and is completely undistracted from their care. He does not eat while the sons of the Muslims are hungry, and is not satisfied while the sons of Muslims  are screaming from the oppression of the governors and officials, and does not sleep in his palace while the sons of the Muslims throw themselves into the sea to escape, and subject themselves to self-emollition out of frustration.

We in Hizb ut Tahrir invite you and call you, that the time of seriousness has come to stand up for Allah, and worship him alone and obey him alone, and we follow only what He (swt) favored for us, and uproot the corrupt colonial capitalism and its agents off our country, so that they may never return. It is time that each of you who have  sight realize that the fundamental solution to the situation that this regime has brought upon us is to work with us to establish the righteous Khilafah "Caliphate" (Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood, and our country with other Muslim countries will be shaded under the Rayah of Al ‘Uqab.

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُـوا اسْتَجِيبُـوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُـولِ إِذَا دَعَـاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ وَاعْلَمُـوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَحُـولُ بَيْنَ الْمَـرْءِ وَقَلْبِـهِ وَأَنَّهُ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَـرُونَ]

“O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered” [Al-Anfal: 24]
