The Answer to the Question Am I Now Considered Inactive? To: Nayef Shoshari (Translated)
Question
To the Ameer, the Sheikh,
Asalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakaatuhu
I came across one of the answers you gave to a brother who abandoned the political work with the Hizb. I was deeply moved by the statement:" You have accepted to be from those who are inactive". I adopt every idea of the Hizb, in thought and action; I don't leave a place or a meeting without being recognised for the Hizb's thoughts; until my name became associated with the Hizb; despite the fact that I am not part of the Hizb due to an external reality that was imposed on me which was beyond my control, as far as I am concerned.
After all this, am I now considered as inactive?

Answer
Wa Alaikum as-Salaam wa Rahmatullah wa Barakaatuhu
Brother,
Working to resume the Islamic way of life on earth by establishing the rightly guided Khilafah "Caliphate" State is not an action carried out by one individual; it is the work of a party, i.e. a group that abides in its matters by the Shari'ah of its Lord (swt).
The evidence is the saying of Allah (swt):
((وَلْتَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ))
"And let there be [arising] from you a nation [Ummah] inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful." [Al-Imran: 104]
The meaning of Ummah is a group. (يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ) "inviting to [all that is] good", this means the whole of Islam. The Arabic letters ‘alif' and ‘lam' have been added to the word Khair which means the whole of Islam.
This includes the establishment of the state to implement the hudood (punishments); to spread Islam by Dawah and Jihad. All of this cannot be carried out by one individual.
The life (Seerah) of the Prophet (saw) is also a witness to this; the Sahaba (ra) gathered around the Prophet (saw) and followed his steps and united by the same "rope" and were structured as one group and were not isolated individuals.
There are numerous Shari'ah evidences that mention the strength of a group:
At-Tirmithi extracted in his Sunan from Ibn Abbas that he said: That the Prophet (saw) said: «يَدُ اللَّهِ مَعَ الجَمَاعَةِ» "Allah's Hand is over the group."
An-Nasa'i extracted in his Sunan from ‘Arfajah Bin Shuraih Al-Ashja'i that he said: I saw the Prophet (saw) addressing the people from the minbar and said:
"Allah's hand is over the group and the devil is with whoever deviates from the Group".
In another version extracted by Ibn Haban in his Sahih from ‘Arfajah:«...
"Allah's hand is over the group and the devil is with whoever deviates from the Group."
Also extracted by Al-Hakim in Al-Mustadarak in both Sahihs from Ibn Ummar that he said: the Prophet (saw)
"Allah's hand is over the group, so follow the majority, the one who deviates will be in Hellfire."
Naturally what is required is a group that abides by the Book of Allah (swt) and the Sunnah of his Messenger (saw) as was elaborated in the noble verse:
This indicates that the work must be with a group and not by an individual; the group must be abiding by the Shari'ah.
As for you my dear brother, you are qualified to be part of the correct group since you carry the thoughts, abide by them, and propagate them. So complete this good that you hold by being part of the group; and you will taste the glory in the Dunyah and Akhirah, Inshallah.
Your brother,
Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah
