Taraweeh Reflections: (Juz 13) Change is Two-Fold

The source cause of our personal and collective shortcomings roots back to the systems that govern us. Our tastes, opinions, views on right and wrong, are moulded by the society around us and only when we implement an Islamic society in the Muslim world will we see a population built upon taqwa.

(إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا۟ مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ)

“...Indeed, Allah would never change a people’s state until they change their own state...” (13:11)
