Nafsiya Reflections: What is to be Pride of?

The transgender act of Pakistan is one that mirrors the global transgender movement and upholds the obscene rights of the trans community just as the Western nations do. The act comprises a holistic set of clauses which together provide a tight framework of rights and obligations which ensure the protection, relief and the rehabilitation of transgender people. This is set out by:

1. Defining a person’s gender identity as something deeply connected to an inner self or feeling.

2. By giving autonomy to a person to reassign the gender they were given at birth.

3. The right to be recognised on official documents as the gender of choice.

4. That all state and human rights are upheld; such as the rights to inheritance, education, protection, employment, health care and the prohibition of harassment and discrimination.

Therefore the act ensures that the complete welfare and relief of transgender people from pain, loss, difficulty and distress in any given matter is facilitated, so that the trans community may live freely and flourish without interruption. Since the act was passed in 2018, the debate between secular liberal intelligentsia and the Islamic minded Ulema and political parties has raged. Each side promotes its detailed argument either for or against the act and regarding the trans community itself.

Unfortunately, neither side has yet adequately addressed the inherent difference in the foundational aspect of its position, which is essential for the wider Ummah to recognise if they are to understand this huge conflict and fitan. The so-called intelligentsia support the Transgender Act and the earlier Gender Act of 2004. Since the inception of the Gender Act in the West the world witnessed the rapid growth of a global Trans movement and the powerful Trans Lobby, which pressured governments to allow people with gender dysphoria to change their legal gender.

The liberals of Pakistan and beyond have wholeheartedly embodied secularism and Western freedoms which define the rights of citizens and the duties of a State according to their ideological perspective. These were originally determined by the European nations at the dawn of their Enlightenment. Together these principles of secularism and personal freedom create a liberal framework of life in which the individual is promoted to the highest rank through his own personal beliefs, personal choice and near absolute freedom to act according to his own desires.

The Islamic perspective towards the Trans Act and the Trans movement itself, is based on the framework defined by the Quran and Sunnah where there is no place for the human mind to determine a person’s gender, except in rare ambiguous circumstances. Neither is it that the psychological feelings of a person’s deep inner self play any part in assigning or changing one’s gender, and also that the concept of the unrestricted fulfillment of desires doesn’t even exist in Islam. The natural conflict between the Islamic and Western viewpoints has confused many Muslim communities and societies because of decades of secular liberal ideas exported to the Muslim world via globalization and all its disingenuous branches. So much so that the ideological framework of thinking is unclear and poses a challenge to many Muslims in adopting the right idea.

As Muslims it is vital to recognise that the obvious increase in immorality and how rapidly it is spreading, is due solely to Western secular Democracies upholding these personal freedoms, adopting ever more filthy practices, and normalizing them one after another. As such, the homosexuality agenda has been in motion since the late 1950’s, whereby the filthy behavior of homosexuals has not only been championed through Western Muscular Liberalism; but has been made to seem normal, be accepted, be appreciated, be adopted, be understood as a genetic condition, and even be seen as something precious la hawla walaquwwwata illa billah!

Homosexuality is a systemic part of every secular liberal society, the Trans agenda through its globally recognised legal framework, is similarly being forced upon populations in every country in the world. However now, the timeline for the acceptance, approval, understanding and normalization of the Trans movement is only a few short years. This is why we see powerful lobbies in every continent, pressing for an ever increasing and extensive host of Trans rights, that go way beyond the initial call for acceptance or equality. Now the insidious Trans movement seeks to teach the warped Trans ideology to children as young as 5 years old in schools. It insists that Trans women compete with real women in sport, that Trans women are placed with real women in jail, and that Trans women must be allowed to use the changing rooms and toilet facilities of real women... as though they are not in truth, highly depraved men, wanting to be women, pretending to be women, and hence who are a danger to all women!

These people who are no more than the minions of Iblees and his fellow demons, have already created a cesspit of wickedness and debauchery in the West, which is spiraling out of control in its effects on children and teenagers day by day. They now seek, in no uncertain terms, to spread their corruption to the Muslim world, through secular state legislation and through the promotion of vile behaviors and un-Islamic ideas. Also through the rulers of the Muslims themselves, like Bin Salman sporting his Islamic attire, a mere aesthetic to fool the Muslim Ummah into a false sense of trust, whilst he permits all manner of hedonistic debauchery to descend into Arabia and even the Hijaz!

Rulers of the Muslims obediently legalize the social and religious decay of Muslim societies, nefarious Western nations like France belligerently continue in their blatant war on Islam via their unbridled hypocrisy. It was reported in the La Depeche news publication, that in April 2023 after Eid al Fitr, that the French Intelligence Service and Police targeted Muslim children who took the Eid day off school. Thereby classing their families as extremists and treating the children like criminals, punishing them for their absence with consequences to their education.

This example is a clear reminder of the weakness of the Western ideology, that is so obviously threatened by the idea of children celebrating! Yet it still tries desperately to overpower the Ideology of Islam, which is comprehensive way of life, bringing true knowledge of a person’s deep and inner self, as well as confidence of body and mind, for men and women, through its creed, the Shari assignment of gender roles, duties and obligations, prohibitions and the Islamic development of good character. It is so obvious that only the Islamic Shariah has the necessary social and ethical framework to create a society which has a clear grasp on reality and true concern for the betterment of mankind. May Allah return the promised Khilafah Rashida on the way of the Prophethood, to rid this evil from amongst us and because He (swt) alone is deserving of our obedience.

Allah (swt) says in the Quran:

[يَهْدِى بِهِ ٱللَّهُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ رِضْوَٰنَهُۥ سُبُلَ ٱلسَّلَٰمِ وَيُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ بِإِذْنِهِۦ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ ]

“Through which Allah guides those who seek His pleasure to the ways of peace, and brings them out of darkness and into light by His Will, and guides them to the Straight Path”. [Surah Al-Maidah: 16]
