HAIFA, Sunday, March 27, 2022 - A group of Palestinian activists held a protest today outside the ‘Israeli’ prison of Damon, near Haifa, in support of 32 Palestinian women incarcerated in the prison... including 10 mothers.

More than 100 Rohingya refugees were stranded in Aceh, Indonesia, in the early hours of Sunday, March 6th, 2022. The 114 Rohingyas, consisting of 68 men, 21 women, and 35 children, were stranded in Kuala Muara Raja, Kuala District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh. Republika reported on March 18 that the condition of Rohingya refugees in Aceh was getting worse due to neglect.

In the Times of India reported on an article where the population growth rate between Muslims and Hindus was challenged. A panel discussion in Kolkata was held entitled ‘Population: Are Muslims Overtaking the Hindus in the City’. The narrative that Muslims are taking over the demographics in a manner that is threatening to the Hindu population is a common fear factor that has been used historically to divide India.

On the 6th of March, the head of the UN refugee agency UNHCR described the Ukraine conflict as the fastest-growing refugee crisis in Europe since World War 2. Around 2 million people have fled the country since the start of Russia’s invasion and bombardment of the country.
