Egypt Opposition Call for Sisi to Step Down

Egyptian opposition figures and political forces based abroad have called in a letter for President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to step down and hold early presidential elections. In the letter, the signatories said their demands come amid "the failure of all the policies adopted by the current regime that has exposed Egyptians to drought and poverty, making life impossible for the majority of the people".

The signatories include actor Amr Waked, former presidential candidate Ayman Nour, American-Egyptian activist Samis Harris, activist Moaz Abdel-Karim, Fabiola Badawi of Ghad al-Thawra party, Mahmoud Wehbi of the Technocrats of Egypt group, and others. The letter was published in conjunction with the 12th anniversary of the 25 January Revolution that toppled President Hosni Mubarak. The signatories said an early presidential election, which is to be held next year, should take place under international supervision to ensure its integrity. They called for a "quick agreement on a national rescue program to protect the country's economy and properties, putting a stop to unreasonable spending, conjoining sovereign and private funds with the state budget, and supporting the poorest segments of the population". Pressure is growing against Sisi who has run Egypt into the ground. But the personalities calling for change are those who stood the Muslim Brotherhood and supported the overthrew of the Muhammad Morsi regime in 2023 when Sisi seized power.

Zionists Launch Attack on Iran

Iran's defence ministry confirmed on Jan 29 that a bomb-carrying drones attacked a military complex in the central city of Isfahan, causing some damage to the facility. US officials have since said Israel conducted the strike in response to national security concerns over Iran's recent military activities. The attack has all the hallmarks of a Zionist attack and shows the new ‘Israeli’ government remain fixed on Iran under longtime hawk Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It’s likely the US supported the strikes in a message to the Iranian leadership to return back to talks in its the nuclear programme. It remains to be seen how Iran will respond but after years of nuclear talks and after the US ripped up the previous deal Iran continues to negotiate over its nuclear programme despite the US constantly agreeing and then turning its back on what it agrees too. As the Ukraine war has proven beyond doubt a nuclear weapon is what the global powers take seriously and would stop the Zionist entity from ever considering striking Iran.

Bombing in Pakistan Mosque

A suicide bomber’s blast ended more than 100 lives in the Pakistani city of Peshawar, devastating a mosque in a supposedly secure sector of the city, and sending smoke plumes into the sky and panic through the streets. The attack on Monday 30th Jan was one of the bloodiest suicide attacks to hit Pakistan in years, wounding 217 people. Many of the casualties were police officers and government employees who had gone to pray at the mosque, in a heavily guarded neighbourhood near several important government and military buildings. Whilst regime officials and the global media have focussed on the country’s security and terrorism problem this attack comes after numerous operations by the Pakistan military against the people of the FATA region and since Pakistan integrated the FATA region into KPK. The TTP who took responsibility for the attack have been engaging in what they call a defensive war after the Pakistan military launched operations under US orders to stop them supporting the Jihad in Afghanistan against the US occupation. What is now taking place in blowback for Pakistan’s ruler supporting the US in its war against its own people and without reconciliation, such events will only help the US my exhausting Pakistan in an unending civil war.
