Violence in Aleppo Intensifies as Syrian Government Announces "Regime of Calm"

The purpose of a ceasefire is supposed to be to stop fighting but in the Syrian conflict, calls for peace have been repeatedly used to instigate more war. On Friday, Syria called for local truces near Damascus and in a northern province but has not announced any cessation of fighting in Aleppo, in a conflict that the United Nations Human Rights chief has described as revealing a 'monstrous disregard for civilian lives by all parties to the conflict'.

In fact the negotiations in Geneva are at the point of failure because the Syrian government has been unable to retake control of significant areas of Aleppo despite heavy Russian engagement and covert American support. Now, by using the absurd idea of a partial truce, the government is only trying to give itself some relief in order to further concentrate its resources on attacking Aleppo.

De Mistura says No Plan B for Syria

In an interview to RT, UN special envoy Staffan de Mistura said that there is 'no plan B' in Syria and called on both Russia and the US to protect the peace process. "There is no military solution to this conflict," de Mistura said.

America has referred to the existence of a 'plan B' but has not given significant details of this though it has indicated this would involve a significant intensification of fighting on the ground. With severe failures on the ground, America is reconsidering the effectiveness of the Russian-Iranian support to the Assad government. America has also been supporting Saudi Arabia in taking steps to build a military alliance of Muslim countries to enter the country, and Obama's visit last week may have been primarily to finalise discussions on this issue.

Muslims need to understand the staggering American weakness and its fear of fighting in Muslim lands which is resulting in its dependence on the armies of other Muslim countries. Muslims are fully capable of taking their affairs in their own hands if they replace agent governments with sincere leadership at the head of a true Khilafah "Caliphate" State (Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood.

NATO reportedly Plans to Send 4 Battalions to Eastern Border with Russia

According to the Wall Street Journal on Friday, US Deputy Defence Secretary Robert Work confirmed sending four battalions to Poland and other Baltic countries to strengthen the border with Russia.

As America continues to make use of Russia in Syria, America is imposing upon Russia on several other fronts, including also the Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict. The forces of Kufr are never united and are always in deep struggle with each other even while they try to present a unified front against Muslims.

America needs to intensify actions on other fronts against Russia so that it is in a position to strike Russian interests very hard in other areas if Russia fails to observe American-agreed parameters in Syria. At the same time, Russian overstretch provides an opportunity for America to explore inroads in other conflicts with it.
