The West’s Disrespect towards Women, Underlines the Need for the Guardian of the Honor of Women, the Khilafah
News:
On 30 April 2024, Arizona Family website reported, “A new controversy is stemming from the arrests of dozens of Pro-Palestinian protesters at ASU over the weekend. According to the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) Arizona, four ASU students had their hijabs forcibly removed by ASU police. A video showing part of the said incident was shared with Arizona’s Family by CAIR-AZ.” [azfamily]
Comment:
In a video published to X by ABC 15 reporter Dave Biscobing, a woman can be seen sitting near a bus, appearing to be handcuffed. In the video, which is censored, her headscarf is removed while four officers surround her. Muslim social media is massively circulating the post as it is a gross violation of the honor of the Muslim women.
This is the latest in a rush of incidents that have shocked people watching police response to the peaceful protests. The police are manhandling women protestors, pushing them to the ground, physically restraining them with all the strength and aggression that a man has. The women themselves are not physical threats, they have no weapons, and they are young students or faculty members. Where is the requirement to show physical force? None! It appears to be the age old tactic of sending a message to the protestors, women or men, that you should disperse or you will face aggressive police action. So this is Western gender equality! It has created a society where women are equally brutalized as men, for accounting governments on corrupt policies.
The Gaza protests are spreading to different Western countries. In response, police are being sent in with permission and probably instructions to use heavy-handed tactics. There is no respect for women being shown here. People who support the protestors are calling the police and the university and college authorities out. They are referring to their First Amendment rights and freedom of speech, and civil rights and liberties. However, the matter needs to be looked at more fundamentally. Western laws have always benefitted the establishment. They only work if you are following the government’s narrative. History shows us that going against Western government policy decisions results in propaganda attacks, and physical repression. This is regardless of you being a man or a woman.
Feminists must be proud, that they have managed to create a society where women continue to be treated in the same way as men when it comes to their government’s protecting themselves.
I, on the other hand, as a Muslim woman, am relieved that Islam does treat women differently in many situations. The Khilafah State (Caliphate) is actually obliged to respect and protect a Muslim woman, indeed respect any women. A dhimmi (non-Muslim citizen) of the Khilafah would also be protected.
The actions of the police in these so-called enlightened western states, would never be allowed in the Khilafah State. But what can we expect from people who follow secular man-made laws? Laws that they bend and break whenever they feel the need!
Islam regards the women as an honor. RasulAllah (saw) said,
«إِنَّمَا الْإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ يُقَاتَلُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَيُتَّقَى بِهِ» “Indeed, the Imam is a shield, from behind whom you fight and by whom you are protected.” [Muslim] As the first and best Imam of the Muslims, RasulAllah (saw) mobilized military force to drive out the Jews of Qaynuqa’ah from Al-Madinah Al-Munawwara when they violated the honor of a single Muslim woman in their market. Adhering to the Sunnah of RasulAllah (saw), subsequent Imams of the Muslims, throughout the era of ruling by all that Allah (swt) has revealed, all acted as shields for the Ummah.
During the era of Khaleefah Mu'tasim Billah, a Muslim woman was attacked by the Romans and she shouted out, "O Mutasim". When these words reached the Khaleefah Mu'tasim, he asked, “What is the most insurmountable and most protected city of the Rome?” When the answer came as Amorium (عمورية Amuriyyah), he sent a jaw-breaking response in the form of a huge army that opened the largest and most powerful city in Asia Minor at the time. It was in Ramadhan 223 AH, the Khilafah opened Amooriyah (Amorium), even though it was the pride of the powerful Roman Empire. And the oppression of Muslim Hujjaj, men and women, by Modi’s forefather, Raja Dahir, was met with the swords of the army of Muhammad bin Qassim.
Where is our leadership that strikes fear in the hearts of our enemies, so they would not even dare to violate the honor of a Muslim women?
Where is our leadership, to help and protect us? Today, our rulers are silent and our armies stay in their barracks. Today, the call is to western institutions and governments for help. But this is not the solution, only obeying Allah swt will bring the change we need, and will ensure the protection of mankind. There is no solution but the one given to us by our Creator. We must re-establish the Khilafah State, the shield of the Ummah.
