Olympic Freedom Fighters Only Seek to Fight Islam
News:
On the 16th of July 2024, Amnesty International reported that the Olympic Federation banned the wearing of Hijab for Muslim female participants. The move prompted the following response on the official Amnesty International Website: “Why hijab bans in French sports defy Olympic values and human rights”. The argument stressed that “Excellence, respect, and friendship” were core values. The Olympics is currently being held in France, and the French government have chosen to extend their national Hijab ban to the International participants of the games.
Comment:
In the Amnesty report, Muslim female participants of the games are quotes as saying; “We can’t breathe anymore. Even sports, we can’t do them anymore.”
The French authorities show clear hypocrisy in their secular concept of “gender equality and inclusivity in sports”. The decision to exclude the Hijab has nothing to do with loyalty to liberal values. It is a direct attack on Islam and shows intellectual weakness in that they cannot convince the world that they are looking after women’s interests. Amnesty International are not a source of laws for Muslims, nor do they represent a reference for human rights for believers. However, the fact that they can criticise the French position shows how Western ideological positions clash when they have contradictions in secular political policy making.
As Muslims, we do not have to campaign for a reversal of these decisions as Muslim women are in no need of these platforms of sports; they are in need of the Khilafah (Caliphate) and the complete implementation of the Islamic laws so that they have none of their rights violated.
It is a great shame upon the leaders of the Muslim world that they allow the honours of the Muslimah to be violated at any time but non-Islamic entities. It should not be the case that we have normalised “permission” to do the Fard with those that hate Quran and Sunnah!
We as Muslim women, must never compromise with the standards of Islam and our loyalty must only be with the commands of Allah (swt) and His (saw) Messenger, as that is the true measure of success over any Dounia awards or titles.
“O you who believe! Do your duty to Allah and fear Him. And seek the means of approach to Him, and strive hard in His Cause (as much as you can), so that you may be successful.” [Al-Maeda: 35]
